I will continue to buy new cards but probably at a slower pace. I have a number of older cards on my wishlist. They are there because I did not think they were worth full price. Now with the price increase they will most likely never be bought unless there is a super deal.

This has been thought through financially analytically.
In previous years we received 20% more credits around Christmas.
And at the beginning of the year 20% discount on the cards of the previous year.
So maybe wait and see what comes in December/January.
And you can make your move.
There are older cards that are really worth having
Personally I already bought fewer tickets because I don't like that cat thing with licking hands.
And lately sometimes the hair is very long, which is not really my thing (unless the model and/or outfit has to be my taste).
But whether it is 13.5 or 15 credits. If the show is good and you enjoy watching it, it's worth the money.

Last week shows cost me 11 credits each. Now they are 12 credits each. That's a whopping 1 credit more than before. 1 credit is 8,3 cents worth, when bought using the regular promotions. I hope I stopped buying iStripper cards all together by the time I got worried about that.

It is in the first post in this thread where it says

--> And if you don't have 3 000 shows in your collection yet, you will receive 100 credits for free once you reach this level !

Ahhh OK thanks at least they didn't blindside if you read the fine print. I'm still done buying for at least a while longer. I want the old Virtuagirl back but I know we can't alway get what we want. In the mean time there is much to explore elsewhere.

"Dear all,

as announced in July, all the shows initially set at 25 credits now cost 30 credits, starting today Sept. 04, 2023.

In parallel, we have created two new VIP levels:

1/ "Master" that you will get once you have 3 000+ shows in your collection.
Being a Master will give you 50% discount on all shows.

--> And if you don't have 3 000 shows in your collection yet, you will receive 100 credits for free once you reach this level !
(the 100 free credits are not retroactive, they will not be given if you already own more than 3 000 cards as of today)

2/ "Elite" that you will get if you own all the shows available including the Special Event Cards.
Being an "Elite" will give you 50% discount on all shows and a membership to iStripper mobile, unlocking all its content.

--> You will remain Elite as long as you keep getting all the shows. Your status will be checked every 10 days.

At this occasion, all our VIP icons have been revamped!

To benefit from these news, please upgrade to version 1.2.534 by clicking the "check for updates" button in your settings or by accepting the update when iStripper launches. "

...and I thought the price was getting up, but on my receipt it says 12 credits. That is basically the same as 11 credits.

I could have understand the anger if it was the same as the store. Like a pack of ground beef has gone from 2-3 dollars to 6-10 dollars where I come from.

Keep up the good work iStripper, love the product.

5793 card's.......... I get an Elite tag and a higher price.I think I'm done until all the ( glitches ) are fixed.

The slightly higher price is not a glitch.

card prices increased from 25 to 30

your old level discount was 45%
25 - 45% = 13.75 then if you bought in the 1st 10 days, you got an additional 20%
13.75 - 20% = 11 credits as the final price.

Now the New pricing and New Discount of 50%
30 - 50% = 15, then take off the additional 20%
15 - 20% = 12 credits as the final price.

8.3 cents time 365 cards in a year =
.083 x 365 = $30.30 for the Year...
or $2.53 a Month
or 58.27 cents a week

If that figure of the price rise being equivalent to 8.3 cents a card is correct, then I think the reality is that if you seriously cannot afford it - then maybe you should not be buying porn at all.

If you have so little disposable income, then your priorities need re-evaluating. In any economic or marketing model, products such as iStripper would be classified as luxury goods - to be purchased only after all the basic necessities to support life have been satisfied.

"then maybe you should not be buying porn at all."

Of course! What better advice could we give 👍 But this kind of moralizing advice is far from the reality experienced by many people. Indeed, addiction in whatever form it takes often leads to behaviors that are not easily understood by the majority of people. Having been confronted with this kind of problem, I can assure you that no form of rationality can be taken into account. The most *****, incomprehensible, atypical, non-standard behaviors are then implemented. It is not easy to guide the "*****" in this kind of addiction. A stupid example comes to mind: a neighbor finding himself in financial misery following the difficulties of life without going overboard quickly found himself confronted with social services to help him stabilize his situation. One of the pieces of advice was to stop taking a break at the bistro after a day's work in order to save a few Euros. The poor accepted this constraint and deprived himself of the only relaxation he had left. Three months later, all I could do was bring flowers to his grave. Sorry for this anecdote, but do not make too hasty judgments on certain behavior. At least that's the lesson I learned from this sad situation 😪

Sorry for italian language.

Tutto aumenta, io vivo in Italia lo so bene.

(the 100 free credits are not retroactive, they will not be given if you already own more than 3 000 cards as of today)Why is it not retroactive? I was just punished for buying too much cards too fast I guess. :-D

This is a bit disappointing! its like I'm missing out because I am already a loyal member. I think it would have been a decent (and dare I say a fairer) gesture to award the free credits to anyone with 3000 cards or more across the board, regardless of if they've already purchased them.

Lets face it, it costs quite a lot of money to reach 3000 cards and once you've invested that much the chances are you're still going to invest more, so 100 free credits would be a nice way to recognise this (and I doubt it would break the bank in the grand scheme of things).

Bien d'accord avec vous @Philours. iStripper est un produit qui développe une forme de dépendance. Les dépendances ne sont pas toujours faciles à traiter. et le jugement n'est jamais une bonne chose.

I agree with you @Philours. iStripper is an addictive product. Addictions are not always easy to treat. and judgment is never a good thing.

I'll still buy cards. I have over 3000.

Exactly .. I don't understand why affordability keeps coming up? I could easily afford to buy every card twice and would spend more if there were enough shows for sale that I wanted to own. But I won't be played the fool or buy shows I don't want to own and I'm definately not getting involved in crypto wallets or NFTs.

If you you want to play with the perspective on the numbers - a 100 credit bonus to customers who were loyal for years and spent thousands would amount to a small fraction of a one percent bonus. It might covers the few cards you wish you hadn't purchased or gets you a few that you might not have purchased either way very tiny bonus in the scheme of things.

But, I get that it would cost Totem about $10 in potential lost sales per active member (those that already have over 3000 cards). Just as it will cost Totem about $10 in potential lost sales for those that had 2999 or less cards yesterday so ....?

A fraction of one percent bonus or $10 in potential lost sales .... it's all about your vantage point I guess.

I'm on an extended hiatus so nothing lost and nothing gained; it just feels like an insult to my former loyality. I certainly would have both enjoyed and been ***** trying to decide on which cards to get but I had no expectation of getting any new shows anytime soon.

Going to a sporting event and getting a couple of beers cost over a $100.00. Having beautiful girls dancing sexy and taking off their clothes at the increased price is still very reasonable for the entertainment that you get.

If you scale that bonus up by the number of members that already had 3000 cards then how many thousands of dollars would that come to? And how would Totem gain from giving away those thousands of dollars?

Why are they advertising it if they are not willing to fullfill it? It also seems unfair to me, that the most loyal customers are omitted. As @dar2112v have said it is only about their attitude to the customers. I am sure it will not ruin them as the 3000+ cards owners are the least risky group taking in the account the possibility of not returning the investment. In fact it says them they care about them and they can feel more encouraged to buy more credits. But that is my point of view. Someone can see it as I have already bought so many cards that no extra credits are needed to encourage me to buy even more.

The problem for me is that all of the card's are showing at 30 credit's, So I can only assume the discount is not applying at all, That was before updating the software, Now it's unusable with most page's continually refreshing the page, Making it difficult to even read anything, I tried reinstalling and do not want to try moving it to another computer just to get it to work.

Why are they advertising it if they are not willing to fullfill it?

They are doing exactly what they advertised - see the initial announcement at the start of this thread.

the 3000+ cards owners are the least risky group taking in the account the possibility of not returning the investment.

Or, to put it a different way, the 3000+ card owners are those that are least likely to increase their spending, if they were given such a gift. Offering to those that pass the 3000 card threshold is an inducement to those some way below that threshold to increase their spending. Such "gifts" are not given just to be nice but because they can be expected to be beneficial to the company offering them - not to the customers.
