Looks like they forgot they have to release a card today 😕

I cannot open December 3rd's card either, I guess they forgot to set it up before they left for the weekend. Given the only real advantage of buying the calendar is to 1) get cards one day in advance of release, and 2) one extra card on December 25th, with a drawback of unknowingly purchasing cards, half of the benifit is not realized for today. Wonder if they will make a "good faith" correction since we are not getting what was promised.

Ya, I had the same idea. We purchased this deal under the offer we would recieve a card early each day, now it is not going as promised. I am not the whole you need to file a refund or complaint type, but at least some compensation for this. I feel ripped off.

- Once upon a time the previews came with a discount.
  • Afterwords, Previews were removed and replaced from discount of early purchases (had discount for cards released in the week.
  • Later on (this year) early purchases discounts were removed and replaced from 1 out of 3 preview discounts.
  • Then (now) automatic previews do not include the new released cards so do not expect a discount on them...
  • And finally this calendar came. Pre-pay full price for unknown to be released cards and with 25 of them you'll get a gift of one card that will never be released again....

So what will be the next step? Buy un-released cards with a 10% penalty for buying early???

Definitly skipping this one! Worst case scenario... one card less, that won't appear in the store anyway...

I do think on this occasion we deserve a refund of some kind for those that have purchased the advent calender?

even though i've been happy with the discounts in the past

I've got the 3rd day fail too. Poo.

But apart from that, I think it's good fun. Yes, it's not a great money saver, but it's (apart from today!) been fun to open a little window and be surprised by the gorgeous girls inside. Brings a smile to my face!

Yeah I imagine they don't release on the weekend because they would have to pay someone to work the software and servers, so they probably programmed it to go off and it is bugged. Servers went down yesterday so maybe that has something to do with it. I guess we'll see tomorrow.

i have no idea where all of you have read that the Advent Calendar came with discounts??????????

but when you took a few seconds of thinking - you pay full price for 24 cards and get a 25th card for free.
so there's your little discount.

I think that they had got it all set up to work automatically, then there was the massive server problem we all ***** from yesterday and something was lost during the recovery from that. Sure, it is somewhat irritating but given the small team size and the fact that the problem was on a weekend it is not too surprising - I am thankful that the server problem was fixed. I am sure that Totem will correct it all on Monday.

I love the Idea of a surprise girl everyday and dont mind the price, but it takes the piss when you cant even open the days card to see what you get, Dont expect it will be fixed until tomorrow either... Will have to wait...

I've read most of the posts...I agree with most of them as to buying cards sight unseen, also, I am on a fairly strict purchasing schedule, one which doesn't come up until next weekend.
That being said, I can't justify that big of a purchase unless the bugs can be worked out.
This still doesn't address the sight unseen of the cards. Most of the cards I haven't purchased to date are of the "standard" quality and below. I have a laptop and a 42" monitor. These shows look like crap even on the laptop.
I refuse to purchase any of these just to say "I have more cards than you" if I can't enjoy them.
THAT being said, for the most part, I approve of the job you guys are doing over there ( in Paris(?)), and wish you guys the best and a Happy New Year.

No, it's nothing but a bug but like everyone else they are entitled to their weekend. Be patient people, they will see the problem as soon as Monday. The problem has also been reported in the "bug" part of the forum.

Personally, I hope that the exclusive card of the 25th will please me a lot, otherwise I would be very disappointed with this purchase. Because I already know in advance that the cards that will come out in the next days will not please me all, unfortunately.

With only partial-relevance (but some), I am still waiting on the Personal Message `block' to work - reported well over a month ago. Referred to `management' sometime ago - and to the specialist software person. I have not received ANY response since. My Support tickets (plural) still show as `waiting', The days in wait still increase.

So, while understanding the `bug' situation and `everyone needs time off', my still-waiting for advice on another `glitch', makes me a little more cynical than most of you. Sorry - I wish it was otherwise and my long-time tickets had been addressed!

BUT, I sure hope that you are right. I spent hours waiting for the new card - past midnight in Australian time! I had even bemoaned the pushing back of card releases, by two hours, from the a-card-every-day announcement!

Still harping on this, I know, but following the `service aspect' - If a proferred option - actually shown as availble in the software - to block PM's - cannot be made to work in over a month, well ... It is worrying. December 25 is still a while away! Including a few more unstaffed weekends. And time off over Christmas will further be `understandable'! A good business model tends to factor in issues and have contingencies! Or remote check-ins. With the take-up of so many new members, all of the remarks above cannot be helpful `to the cause' - but, more so, the problem on which they are based.

Fingers crossed! Mine are.

Few thoughts.

1st it is the Advent Calendar, so the main point is enthusiasm. You do not like it, do not buy it.
2nd: If you have time to read all the descriptions (I know small letters), you can keep the purchase of the calendar until 23rd. Until then we will know what shows are in it and probably also what will be the BONUS FREE card (and if it is worth it).
last: even if you can not wait and bought some cards that are part of the calendar, the price (calendars) will be reduced.

Right now, only advantage is getting new card one day ahead. So, no rush, keep calm and Marry Christmass.

It all depends on what you asked the team via the tickets. The support only responds to the technical problem that prevents you from using the software.
If you have improvement suggestions or tier bugs you have to submit them in the forum.
