I know in settings you can set an alternate storage folder, I would like to move my content to a new drive, but I have like 100GB worth of shows, can I just move the existing folder and point to it in the program? I would prefer to not have to redownload all those cards.

Yes, no problem. Works even while iStripper is running.

you can also use multiple drives. iStripper supports multiple locations.
I have my collection on a 4Tb usb G: drive but also my favorites on my C: drive for when usb is not connected

As a precaution, i always copy files to the new drive, point the software to the new folder and confirm all is working before deleting the original location

I used windows explorer to move the files. iStripper will move them but i think it's slower.

I use the same strategy as @muttonjeff (plus a second external drive as a backup of the first).

I also backup iStripper's vghd folder and subfolders to the same pair of external drives so that they each have everything on them.

Rather than use Window's explorer to do the copying I use a file and directory comparison program called Beyond Compare which I find invaluable for this sort of thing. It is one of a small number of utility programs that I would not be without. It provides a very convenient way to see what is new, what has changed and what has disappeared, just what any any of the changes are, and then gives me ways to copy the new versions or revert to the old at any level of detail I want - from the whole of a disk down to a single line in a text file.

Sounds very similar to rsync

https://rsync.samba.org/

what is my strictly preferred Backup Solution on Linux.
And it's nice to see that the Windows users can get in touch with similar Backup possibilities 👍

but you have to buy that one.

Just in case, here is an Open Source Solution for Windows called Cygwin

https://www.cygwin.com/

and here is the Quick Start Guide.

https://www.cygwin.com/cygwin-ug-net/ov-ex-win.html

Maybe that could be something for you :)

It is a lot more convenient to use than rsync.

It is not primarily a backup program, it is a file compare and update program that is used interactively.

Surely I wouldn't disagree with you about that either. But with rsync there is nothing to set up,

once the origin and destination paths have been determined,
you pack that Information into a Shellscript, make it executable, and you are good to go.

And I try to do as little as possible with a GUI-App,
this is a lot more convenient for my personal Workflow.

Rsync does exactly the same including a Backup for your Data,
but anyway i only wanted to share my experience.
And everyone should use what he feels most comfortable with in the end :)

For the primary purpose of the program using a GUI app is essential - it is used as a combination of diff and an editor to show changes between versions of collections of files and to allow selective merging of changes. There are unix/linux programs that provide similar functionality but none that I have seen have been anything like as useful. At work we primarily use linux, but the files are also visible from our Windows machines - we tend to use Beyond Compare on the windows machines to operate on our source files even though almost eveything else is done on the linux side.

Windows has its own built in backup facility, there is no need even to "pack that Information into a Shellscript, make it executable", you just tell it once what to backup, where to back it up to and then forget about it until you want to recover something.

You are missing the point - it does a different job to rsync with a different basic use case. It can be used for automatic or semi-automatic backups and the like, but to use it that way would be a mistake because it would be the wrong tool.

That's your opinion and i leave that to you 😉

It was not my Goal to start a ***** between Windows and Linux or Beyond Compare and Rsync.

"Notice for me: Sometimes i wish i could shut my Mouth ....."

Then you know what, Life is too short for that Crap. And i made only a Suggestion,
and the best thing on Suggestions is, nobody needs to follow that
and everyone can make his own decisions.

Nor was I trying to ***** linux or rsync - it was you that said that Beyond Compare sounded like rsync, but they are different beasts doing very different jobs and each should be used for what it is good for. I would not use Beyond Compare for backups, nor would I use rsync as a file comparison and editing tool.

Yes of course, because i made only a suggestion, there's nothing wrong with it.

They do not look similar to me - unless you think that sed and emacs are similar because they are both editors.

It is available for linux - and you can try it for free.

Nope, Thank you but rsync does the Job for me pretty well 😊
And for all the other stuff is also diff available.

https://linux.die.net/man/1/diff

and of course the Gnu-Coreutils

Hope, you don't get me wrong but I didn't want to doubt that either.
I have used some of them for nearly 30 years (initialy under unix, not linux).
See, that's the difference between us.
I dived into (only) Linux 10 Years ago (in June 2020 it's my 11th Year)
And yes i'm proud by myself that i didn't need a Teacher so far for all that Stuff.
I know different things but not all, and i have to learn still many Things, but i Love ❤️ it.

@sansanych75 - for a model to be visible on the mobile, the show has to go through a conversion process to turn it into a mobile show. As mobile has not been running for long, there are a lot of shows that need to be converted and this is being done at the rate currently of three per week.

So - the 4 shows you see are those from your collection that have been converted.
