no 4k why?

Maybe in the future. I took a peek in the XML-file of this new card, and here's a couple of lines from it

Could this mean that the new download option (4K) will be added soon?

I read your concerns about the increase of system resources needed to read the new quality.

Not sure if related specifically to this new update or not but Bitdefender Total Security just flagged the vghd.exe for ransomware remediation. First time ever so not sure what that was about.

For some reason the Leyla Fiore download seems stuck for me.
It gets to 99% then just stops, showing 0.0 KB/sec download.
Yes, I have the new update installed.

I've tried the download umpteen times - synchronised with server, closed down iStripper, restarted etc.
Anyone else having this problem, or better yet know how to fix it?

I got hit with this nice little message from Norton when I tried to install from the home page on the www.iStripper.com webpage. After 3 or 4 tries of running the installer and receving this each time, I got fed up and told old Snortin' Norton where to go.

what is the framerate of this new quality standard?
My CPU load is holding between 10 and 22% while demo playback, but the show seems to be stuttering slightly.

GPU is used when you play the card in fullscreen mode.
The team has announced some improvements soon to play the clips smoothly in the new format Crystal Clear+.

Crystal Clear + Analysis

There is a good enough improvement, the clip integrates well a 5K scene without noticing the difference in pixel density.
More details are appreciated (see detail of shades on the hair and arm tattoo and texture of the clothes).
Clip can be expanded more with less loss.
The integration of the edges is softer and the dynamic range of the color quite good.
The test is done on a 5K screen of 27 and a 4K 60-inch screen.
In both cases the results were satisfactory.

Bad move.

@follower , the new card e1208 does download in 720p onto the ancient version of the softwae (1.2.132). It even shows on the my collection page. It just won't play. I'm not even worried about, or for that matter, really care that it doesn't play.

I let the cards that I have enabled play at random, and after I happen to see one being played, I then disable it. Eventually, all of my cards will be disabled, except for the ones requiring this new software, and on that day I will have to embrace the new technology. It's really not a big deal.

What gives you the impression that 720p & 1080p animations are no longer available ? I have e1280, the first card released in the new format, in 1080p and it plays quite well for me.

Of course, I am using v1.2.2.28

I think you have it.
The new show are incoded with the new codec, for all resolution....so they can't be play on older version of the software.

But, correct me if i'm wrong, but there is no real advantage to use 3k video on a 1080p screen, except that iStripper will use much more ressource to play the show, and downscale it.

On a Large format Full HD ( 1080p) Screen 40" or larger, you might see better clarity by Down scaling 3K size to 1080p size, but that is at the cost of CPU cycles.

I'll expand on what @Wyldanimal said. You might notice some better quality at the cost of CPU cycles if you play 3K cards as a scale greater than 80% on a 1080p screen. This is because a 1080p card is designed to be played at about 75% on a 1080p and beyond that it must be scaled up and will be a little less detailed than a 3K card played at the same scale.

Probably the same way a console like the Xbox One X with a 1080p screen use 4k texture, and downscale it to 1080p, with sharper details and clarity.
I use my hdtv with iStripper, so i should try to compare 2 shows, one at 1080p and the other at 3k (release on may 23 or after) to see if i see a difference in detail.
And if yes, time to add a bigger external hardrive.

The way I use iStripper is I always watch them in Desktop mode at 100% size, 3K cards on 1080p monitor. Sometimes, however, I change the setting up to 120%, if I'm watching a playlist that includes only Table clips. The scaling is very good and the picture stays sharp (especially with this new CrystalClear+ card) even with that upscaling.

I remember when I changed from 1080p to 3K download setting, and I was surprised that even with this monitor the difference in quality was so noticeable.

There will be a difference, but a very small one. I'm not sure you or anyone could actually see a difference when a 1080p card is being scaled up by only about 5%.

Simple experiment: Take a static image, a digital photo, and display it on your screen at 5% larger than it's nominal size. Can you notice any loss in sharpness? Now at 100% you will see either jaggies or blur.

Is it possible that the team can share some more technical information about the production process at this point?

1) Which cameras are used with what type of lenses and settings?
35mm? 50mm?

2) Which software and plugin is used for chroma key (green screen) editing?

3) What codec and settings are used to render the final video files?

There is definitely something wrong with the encode of Leyla Fiore - No Apologies (e1208). I downloaded all resolutions and all are slightly jumpy. Downloaded the new Paulina Soul card @3K and it plays flawlessly.

Im 100% sure its not my computer.
