Well all I can say is that I am well pleased.

I was worried that this would be the same as last Black Friday. Because two of the games/offers failed last year and I could only get stars from reloads I ended up ***** in 2 hour shifts to make sure I didn't miss any reload events. This year because i have to be out most of Saturday (sister's annual Xmas *****) I was worried I would miss out on the Jia Lissa SEC.

So after scratching 100 cards I have Jia Lissa's Card and a Joker Card for a net outlay of around 50 credits.

I did waste a number of 5 credit spins on the slot machine but to be honest it is pointless for me as I can only win credits and the Progressive packs has nothing for me (I have all the cards).

To be honest although it is still gambling you do know that after 50 scratchcards you will get the Jia Lissa SEC and after 100 scratchcards you will get the Joker Card. The main gamble is will you win enough credits to cover most of your costs.

I have also done a credit reload and essentially earned 320 credits which has covered my credit expenditure today and also "paid" for my Advent Calender.

@PascalsWager - No, for me the Special Event cards add little or nothing to the iStripper experience - they end up being just a very small number of very ordinary cards. I would have prefered it if they gad never exusted and I would prefer it if their were no explicit gambling games. As far as the advent calendar is concerned your question does not apply to me as I have always bought them as soon as they are offered because I currently buy all of the cards each month therefore the extra card is just one more that I get "for free" and, having cost me nothing, is has always been "worth it". For those that do not normally buy all of a month's cards the situation will be very different ranging from it being a cheap card to a very expensive card if they do decide to go for it.

That is correct, but as the description of the Advent Calendar says (and has been pointed out in a few posts) you do not have to buy the cards "sight unseen" as you can wait until the last day to buy it, at which time you will know exactly what cards you are buying.

So what happens when you reach Jia Lissa's special event card in the ticket meter if you already have it (from a lucky scratch game)? You instead get nothing, or a ticket, or something else?

Both the gambling and the Advent calendar are completely transparent psychological *****, and the SECs are at the core. The SECs are the lure to incentivize purchases of things less desirable than the SEC. And a large piece of the SEC's desirability is precisely because it's been made (more) difficult/expensive to acquire, by design.

I'm not participating, not out of some logically inconsistent "morality" but simply because the only vote I have is my money. I've spent 0 credits trying to attain an SEC card and never will. It's a collective action problem. A prisoners dilemma. No subscriber would prefer a situation that makes it more difficult to buy a card than not. But as long as people continue to buy gated cards, the situation won't change.

@stevnev1 Just a different gamble. In this case it would be how many of those 24 cards I didn't want in the first place. Given that I've currently purchased 2023/4340 cards, we could guess I wouldn't like at least 12 of them on average. So the pre-order definitely involves paying money for an unknown outcome.

@PascalsWager - I am sure that you do indeed have a valid argument, but I still do not see it. You still seem to be objecting to the existance of a non-gambling alternative as if having this alternative was worse, or at least no better, than just having the gambling version. I quite understand the objection to SEC cards in general, and to having them as rewards for gambling - but I can see no reason why any of this affects the morality of buying the Advent Calendar (other than an imagined connection that seems to exist only in your head).

@TheEmu Yes, all things could be bought with the Joker but why? There's only one thing with scarcity value, the SE cards. That value is artificial, and it's designed that way on purpose to incentivize purchases, either of 30 cards you were unsure of, or gambling. This can easily be seen in the conversations on the boards about the process, where nobody says "I'm so lucky to have won a Melissa card." If they're excited enough to write aboout it, it's because they won an SE card or a Joker. Those have rarity. Just like good loot in a loot box.

You get that, right? I'm not talking about a hypothetical future where a month from now I really wish I'd bought the advent calendar. I'm talking about the actual present where people are gambling for past and present SE cards and Jokers. It's very obvious that while some people are enjoying the endorphin rush of the game, others are with the hope /disappointment of getting/not-getting those cards.

Waiting a return of "favorite", you can manage some playlists with your favorite models.

You can also quit and restart the software, or shutdown your computer and internet router then reboot them.

I consider myself very lucky, too... When I started to test my luck today, I was missing only about 20 cards (not counting the Virtuagirl Classic 480p cards). My slot machine credits didn't get me much, but scratch game brought good results.

After I had stopped playing, I had won 15 new "regular" cards + Jia Lissa's new special event card + 1 new Joker card + the only special event card that I was missing from before (Skye Blue's "Bend to My Will")... and in addition to getting all that, I have more credits than I had before I started playing(!)

Joker card is a card that you can exchange to any card at any time, even to a special event card.

You guys are lucky, I played the scratch card for 14 times, got 50 credit, 2x 1080p card, 10 credit and a 3k card.

I bet x20(approx) on 5 credit, but couldn't get at least one -50%, max -30%

But betting x50(approx) on 2 credits gets me x2 -70% and a few of -50%

@PascalsWager - OK, that I can sort of understand (just) but it is not what you first said. If it is the possibility that part of what you buy will somehow in future be connected with some gambling game then this applies to all of the cards, not just the SECs or the Jokers - they can all be won via various gambles and all can be obtained using a Joker.

I've lost access to my collection due to some update apparently. Please fix this as I'm not comfortable deleting anything from my computer, nor should I have to, to make the program work.

Fair point and indeed tragic. Working for iStripper, like any other adult website, requires that a performer can manage the backwash. I suspect that many of them cut themselves off from people back home, but that's only based on the odd anecdote. Maybe many of them regret having done it, but most seem to cope - if I thought otherwise I wouldn't want anything to do with adult products or services.

Well, I certainly wasn't expect that! I just spent a bunch of time going through 51 scratch cards. After all of that, I ended up with 12 credits more than when I had started. I wasn't paying attention to the rewards meter, though, so I was extremely surprised to see that I managed to win the Jia Lissa SE card after my 50th scratch card! I still very much disagree with these gambling events but it was kinda nice to end up being paid 12 credits to waste time trying (and succeeding to my surprise) to win the SE card. Now I can rest happy knowing I don't have to deal with any more of this bullshit for a while!

This feature use to exist a long time ago, so it shouldn't be a big deal to re-incorporate it into the software. If I remember correctly, it has the effect of having your favorite cards show up more often. I would love to see this again.

As far as I can work out Totem have released another SEC with no defined pathway to obtain it.

These Black Friday offers appear to be two gambling games and a discount offer where you need at least 100 old cards not in your collection to obtain the maximum discount.

The advent calendar is not a gamble, you buy 24 cards (with the 20% discount if you are Premium member) and you have the 25th which is a SEC.

@TheEmu Because Totem connected the two with Joker cards. I'm saying I'm not buying it now because Totem has made these cards a gambling reward for later. I want them to see as few purchases of "special events cards" as possible with my money or that of others.

Special events cards are gated behind two things: a time window, and the purchase of a month's worth of cards you may or may not want. If you missed it, for whatever reason, the only way you can access that card is by winning a Joker in gambling. Some people on this forum have spent way too much money doing just that. I'm not doing either. Nobody should. It's psychological ***** due to scarcity value and punctuated rewards.

Same thing people are mad at EA for with loot boxes for years. Tiny subset pays a lot, making it a financially viable decision for the company. Rest of the people watch, annoyed.

I paid 99 euros for 1100 credits + 220 bonus credits and only got 900 credits.

I have had very good luck mainly with scratch game. I have played enough to win the Jia Lissa card and the Joker card, and during all that I have won enough 100 credits / 50 credits so that after all this, I have a one new Joker card, Jia Lissa's SEC, and more than a dozen new cards and I have more credits than I had before I started

Better stop now while being ahead in the game... (well, I'll better restock the credits also with that 20% reload bonus)...

I stopped after 98 scratch cards and a lot of spins.
I got 10 lottery tickets, the Jia Lissa SEC and the joker card.
I won 1 SEC of Skye Blue, 1 card, 2x 100 credits, 6x 50 credits and very often 10credits, a lot of 1 bonus credits in the scratch games.
I won 4 cards for 50%, a lot of one and two stars in the slot machine.
In the end I paid 0 credits.
