I am in absolute agreement with everything in @DrDoom9 's post.

I do not think it is deteriorating, but for some months now it has been drifting away from my particular tastes and from what brought me to be a customer in the first place.

This "drift" finally resulted in a major change, a reduction, in my buying habits about two months ago.

No, I do not think the quality of the models is deteriorating.
Everyone is correct in saying that it is entirely a matter of personal taste, which probably varies widely with the age and nationality of the subscriber.
However, fashion can change and, as a subscriber of a certain age, some of these trends do not appeal to me.

For instance, I abhor tattoos, the bigger the worse! So an otherwise very attractive model can, in my view, become a 'no-buy' because of the tattoos. I have only been able to overcome this predjudice with absolutely stunning girls dressed in outfits that turn me on (e.g. Camila Chix).

Then there is the BDSM tendency. Some of the outfits are just silly, even ugly, and despoil an otherwise attractive model. A hint of menace can be attractive, but sometime it can go over the top.

Give me the 'clean-and-fresh' look any day (Nancy A), perhaps with a glint of the mischievous (Zazie Skymm), or seductively suggestive.
Eye-contact is also very important (Sasha Meow). So is the occasional smile ir even laughter after a dancing 'accident (Issuzu),

I prefer the classic long blond-haired, usually Russian, Czech or Hungarian, models. Tall models are rarer, but very elegant (Verena Maxima, Zlata Shine). I like traditional clothing - belt, stockings, heels. I also prefer genuine full strip-tease, rather than the 'start-nude' clips. I would like more dresses, with suggestive revellations of what lies beneath. I often appreciate the demo no-nudity clips. And a good dancer in a bikini or swimsuit (Viki) is a pleasure to behold!

So, I would say the standard of model has not really changed - just the change in fashion in an attempt to provide something new - which often fails with me more often now than it once did.

I never said that there were no advantages and even said that Discord probably provided better versions of the forum's functions - but the advantages are not those that @Celine listed as if they were things that forum did not provide.

As I see it there are very large advantages for Totem (mainly in not having to maintain the Forum software which has long had major problems regarding its search function), some advantages for most users and also some disadvantages for some users.

3 - Not possible with the forum. Some may not want it known that they are on-line.

A discord Member can set their own Visibility level, even to invisible.

That is good - but it's not what @celine stated, which was that it was an advantage to see who was on-line (and hence who will immediately "hear" what you have to say and who will not) not just some of them.

4 - Is possible via the iStripper app and via the web site

On Discord it takes Place in Real Time, Text Chat between members is in Real time.

Real time text chat between members used to be possible in VGHD, and I have effectively done it here in the Forum with you and others - I get an immediate Windows pop-up when someone responds to a message so it can be "real time" if the participants want it to be.

5 - I get the occassional Windows notification from Totem about these things s this is not new.

Happens In real time on Discord.

I see no reason why it could not be "real time" via the iStripper app or web site. That it is not used that way does not mean that the feature does not exist.

Happens in Real Time on Discord

Real Time is, to me, not a benefit. I won't spend all day with Discord in the background, preparing to distract me, which is already far too easy to accomplish. I will use it the same as the "static" Forum, dropping in, browsing threads, and moving on after a few minutes.

Used in this way, Discord becomes inconvenient because it quickly becomes hard to sift through the posts that have built up since my last check-in. Participating in conversation becomes pointless because the conversations are hours old--which, unlike on the forum, is the distant past. This is, of course, not an argument against the use of Discord generally; it's just an explanation of why it isn't great for me, personally.

So basically, I guess what I'm saying is: "get off my lawn." 😂

Think about full Screen Scenesyou can now upload them directly to the Thread about the Scene.No more 3rd party ( jump through hoops ) download site needed.Same with custom card and skinsthey can be uploaded directly to the Thread for the Cards, or the Skin.

6 - you can even have voice conversations with other members if you like !

All this, in the same place !

When the server reaches Level 3 Boost, the Upload size will be 100Mb
And for any Member who subcsribes to Nitro, they Get 100MB regardless of the server boost level.

But it can make sense for Gaming Servers for example, when people want to share their
Mods for their Games. These Files are usually slightly bigger, depending on the Modcontent.

Furthermore i slightly remember on someone on the VR Paradise Discord Server,
which was asking for an Community based Modding Support for VR Paradise.

And indeed i could imagine that if this will ever happen, people would be glad to have a quick access
to these Mods, within that Discord Conversation without using an external Service
like Google Drive for example.

And as long as the Server is running the Content will stay within the Discord Server.

Should i get run over by a train tomorrow, my Content on Google Drive would be dissappear
at some point 😛

This forum was working perfectly.

I think that the team had already planned to transfer to Discord, and that the story of Mastercard and the images was the perfect excuse to justify this transfer.

There are several people that you see on the right on Discord, who were already on Discord, who have registered on the iStripper server, and who are not necessarily iStripper customers like us here.

Obviously for Totem, this is an interesting window to attract new customers. Hence the fact that I find Discord impersonal.

Also I find it harder to read on Discord. I don't know if it's due to the layout, but it's not like here. The BOTS annoy me, with their rank advancement, totally useless.

De plus je trouve plus difficile la lecture sur Discord. Je ne sais pas si c'est dû à l'agencement, mais ce n'est pas comme ici. Les BOTS m'agacent, avec leurs avancement de rangs, compètement inutile..

For me the PM indicator rarely shows up in a timely manner so I use the sync to server or just have to remember to click my name and see. I tried that out when I was actively using it. It may have to do with my connection though.

Yes i know that of course, and you also might know i'm not using Windows as my main Operating System.

Furthermore to see the Tickbox "Windows Notifications" you have to tick Advanced Settings
on the Settings page. A new iStripper User want to see naked Girls in the beginning instead of
dealing with the Settings Page or the "User Manual" inside the Client. 😛

I always have seen an indicator that I have received a PM in pretty much real time, certainly not requiring some drastic action such as restarting the app. It could certainly be improved, but I have seen no basic problem. In the old VGHD days there was even the possibility to have a private chat (instant message) session as well as PMs. I don't know why Totem withdrew that service.

As far as the Windows notifications are concerned it does not require being "a Tech Guy/Nerd" - there is a tick-box for them on the iStripper settings page and they just pop up in the bottom right corner of my screen.

It was interesting to see some 4600 people registered there however I wouldn't say I see more than a hundred active people posting here regularly on this forum... where were those people before ?! All the sudden sg. is forbidden they want to post... When they were free to give their opinion here without any efforts even in some critical questions, they sat in silence, now they suddenly want to talk, like I said, interesting.

Yes of course you are getting these Windows notifications, but please keep in mind not every iStripper
User is a Tech Guy/Nerd like You, stefnev1, Wyldanimal, myself and probably a few more.

So, in fact, you can't "see who is online", only a subset of them. The most important subset as far as this aspect is concerned, but not what was stated.

I am sure that Discord provides all of the stated functions in ways that are "better" than the forum, but for the most part they are not new.

Things like upload limits in the forum could presumably easily be changed.

And like @wrightsayswow already mentioned, you can change your Online status to invisible
while you are logged in with the Discord Client or in your Browser.
Even if you are using Discord during this invisible status, no one will see that you are Online.

your status will remain, and if you are logging in the next time no one will see you either.
