@user5789Im wondering if i put a storage ssd in place of the storage hdd would it make any difference.
Of course it is, the first Drive is an
Samsung SSD 850 EVO which is mounted on
/dev/sdaand the second Drive an
Western Digital WD30EFRX-68EUZN0 which is mounted on
/dev/sdb.
The SSD is connected to an 6 Gbit SATA Cable.
I used hdparm ta make a "quick & dirty" test for you.
user@FF2004:~$ sudo hdparm -tT /dev/sda
[sudo] Passwort für user:
/dev/sda:
Timing cached reads: 41084 MB in 1.99 seconds = 20687.82 MB/sec
Timing buffered disk reads: 1500 MB in 3.00 seconds = 499.92 MB/sec
user@FF2004:~$ sudo hdparm -tT /dev/sdb
/dev/sdb:
Timing cached reads: 41708 MB in 1.99 seconds = 21004.65 MB/sec
Timing buffered disk reads: 426 MB in 3.01 seconds = 141.59 MB/sec
