Good evening fellow virtua fans.

I have been a member for less than two days and I have already experienced a lot of problems.

I browsed the forums and it looks they are pretty common.

• Incomplete donwloads stuck on "Error" state? Check.
• Models which misteriosly stopped performing? Check.
• Duplicate entries on "my collection" on the website? Check.

I wonder: what next?

These two days I have spent more time learning about the folders structure and the function of the various config files than actually enjoying the shows themselves..

This software is supposed relax and entertain. I have better things to do than trobleshooting it.

Now I am doing a clean reinstall just to be safe (hopefully). My collection is there again and I am downloading the second card out of 11. It will take a while.

My question to seasoned users is: do I have to expect the software to go bonkers every other day? I'm seriosly considering to uninstall and forget about it.

What is your experience?

I have absolutely only one issue,that of stopping in the middle of the clip.But only with new cards.For the rest the software behaves very good up till now.But that is up to version 27.........I am afraid to install version 32...

...then you should install version .34

The software has pretty much always had some problems or other, it usually results when you either don't close out of Windows correctly or you go messing around with something.

There are times, however, that it will just bug out randomly because something went wrong with the program itself. Maybe you have a corrupted show or something. That's when you have to hunt it down and re-download it. *****, I know.

Think of the positive, though. The program teaches you things you probably didn't know before. ^_^

You have unfortunately "timed" your decision to join badly, in that there was a major change in the software and the server/web site.

Not that you could have predicted that of course & it is unfortunate, but as you say, you have only been here a few days and some of the worst days at that.

I have been around a bit longer than that and I can say from experience that from a small company, Totem are producing a remarkabley stable product given the variation of hardware & software platforms that it is running on.

Totem are not a Microsoft, they do not have a huge team, so you cannot reasonable expect to have the same level of stability.

Yes there are bugs, some software, some environmental, some server related and some media related, but all in all I have been happily using if for the most part of 10 years.

Thanks for the feedback guys. It was bad luck that I joined when the service was unstable due to a major change. However since my lates reinstall things have been running smoothly. Now that it behaves as it should, I have to admit that it's quite an entertaining product.

I remember long stretches of time..summer 08 for instance, where the site was mostly filled with good babes, good vibes, LOTS of fun fooling around , sexy tease among certain members(all who cared to), lots of sharing,not much (*****)tech problems,and all in all a grand sense of enjoyment of the site. Prior to that there was a sense of fun and happy to watch the girls with some disagreement. Remember when MarxXX got bounced for repeatedly saying the near exact same comment on cards? Wow, that was 1 of the major controversies! lol
Sometimes I think the brouhaha all started as the worldwide recession hit, tension mounted,that and then Totem giving us penetration then taking it away seemed to create another bump of trouble. Suddenly there was -rage. If you read the comments pages there are still people who like the babes, although a larger group that want true, tasteful, explicit, penetration action. So whether it's the times or the "crimes", it's yer friendly, raucous, democratic sexy!

@plasonic - nice pic of smoothiepie...those were some great days, I wonder if she will ever return and bring fun and harmony back to us...ahhh memories.
