That is the business model Totem follows. Who knows what will happen in 20 years? The idea is that you are buying the right to play a card as often as you wish. It's much like buying a song from iTunes with similar restrictions. In the case of VG you can only play it on two computers, but if you replace a computer you can transfer your cards to your new computer. Explore some of the threads here for more details.
