I have bought several envelopes. On 3, possibly 4, times the first card in an envelope was displayed as if it had already been scratched. After a few unsuccessful attempts to clear it I tried scratching at the apparently already fully scratched card, and this worked giving me my reward and a new card to scratch - so i did not lose anything.

I think this is simply a problem in displaying the cards, but it will ***** people and may result in others thinking that they are totally blocked from scratching cards that they have purchased.

Just opened my mystery envelope expecting 5 cards. Instead I lost my money on scratch cards. WTF?!
I consider this a very poor deal.

Sure, afterwards I read that for near-full collections you get these stupid gambling games instead of cards, but Totem should display that text in big bold letters, so it's hard to miss.

I certainly prefer the previous solution of not being able to spend my money on mystery enveloppes when there are no cards to gain.

Other than that Totem could reconsider blocking recent cards from TGIF-deals. There are still normal cards in the store and there of course the highly unobtainable special edition cards you could provide as alternative for nearly full collections. I think 50 credits for a SEC might be acceptable to a lot of users, though I personally think that's still rather overpriced.

Yes, I wondered, too, where that 0,36% comes from... I haven't won any "jack pots" and I have never won any 1000 / 2000 / 5000 credits from any games of chance here. I can only assume I have that badge because I have won Joker-cards(?).

Yeah, that's smart. I might do the same. First let's see if the 4:20 achievement I KNOW I earned is awarded, then let all the hubbub simmer down, then I'll go for it again. I'll need that edge anyway as it took over 15 seconds on my first "one click" purchase before the system told me the card was added to my collection.

And as long as some people think that way, that some cards have limitless value, these gambling scams will be perpetuated.

If a joker means "jackpot", Lord knows how many credits these 0.36% of the customer base had to spend to get that joker. It could well be in the hundreds on average. It's kinda scary to contemplate how much some people will spend hoping to get one card. But as long as it continues, these "winners" will perpetuate the price gouging otherwise known as "events".

I thought a jackpot meant a big credit win... shows howmuch I know.

I just want to see the gambling (and the subsequent withholding of cards from (diminishingly) loyal paying customers) go away...

It is possible to win the "Lucky Bastard" success.

With the game SLOT MACHINE (April 17 to 24, 2020) it was possible to win a JOKER card.

Info from this offer:
Every time you get a letter on your slot draw, it highlights the corresponding letter in the word J O K E R that appears at the top of the machine.

When Totem started offering SEC cards, they pledged they would never be sold again. Then they started making them obtainable through gambling games. See..that is technically not being sold.

Because of the pledge not to sell them, I doubt your suggestion will be offered.

I wouldn't put too much stock in Totem pledges. In the early days, they pledged that every girl bought would be available to us "forever". But how many of us still have access to those pics or videos? The animations I don't care about because the quality wouldn't be worth it considering contemporary technology; however, some of those image sets and videos were golden! Hell, not even all of some of the classic cards' videos were released with the cards... Christina Young's, e.g....

I actually waited until then to buy a card about 2 weeks ago and had to open a ticket to hopefully get the achievement added. Even though I met the requirement, the badge has still not been added.

I am pretty sure I earned the First One achievement too as I was up super early and doing constant synchs with the server at the time the cards were added last Friday morning. That achievement has not been added either. So, yeah, as long as Totem hems and haws about giving me my badges, I'll not see those either.

I ***** to sound jaded but as long as customers keep throwing away thousands of credits on these gambles, nothing will ever change. I have seen this same complaint on the boards for over a year and it has only gotten worse as far as SEC frequency goes. It is up to us not to participate... if the SECs start costing Totem money, and they cetainly will begin costing them big bucks if nobody participates, the shenanigans will cease.

Yes, please change SECs so it's not a loot box gambling machine, because that's illegal.
