The PREMIUM skin, there is no advantage to that. Honestly. We just have a PREMIUM logo. It's a very simple white skin with no image. Moreover for the priority of the answers, that makes me laugh because I already waited to have an answer at least one good week, and I had to rewrite to have this answer.

The only advantage is to have the cards in 4K. By the way, why pay extra for this resolution, when the others are available outside PREMIUM?

And for the price, for it to be profitable, you really need to buy all the cards and VR shows within 10 days. Otherwise, the map and the VR show will be more expensive, even if you have paid to be PREMIUM.

This is an easy way for Totem to get people to buy their cards, by giving them little privilege. Giving them the impression that they are a cut above.

I for one have gone PREMIUM, just for the 4K. The rest is peccadilloes.

By the way, Totem is often stingy with comments, when asked on the forum, about some of their practices. I'm thinking of the "wild" withdrawals of their cards without warning.

And it's impossible to contact customer service about this at the risk of having the right to read the cards concerned withdrawn. And this, even if I am PREMIUM.

I am not sure what you mean. Are you refering to the Full Screen/Screen setting dropdown menu which for me currently offers only "Screen 1", but if I plug in an external monitor it has always offered me a choice of "Screen 1" and "Screen 2".

Almost everything is in a sprite that rotates continuously, the individual clipsprites rotate in the opposite direction so that they always face the front.

Only the backs of the podiums could be removed but if I chopped them out, I'd have to rotate the podium at the same speed as the whole saucer rotation in the opposite direction like the clipsprites.... I think the difference would be very marginal.

It did make a difference but because you can't specify a resolution in camera 3D (AFIK) it's running in 4k on mine. If i drop the desktop resolution to 1080p it's smooth.

I may be wrong but I don't think a mask on a single quad would look correct when viewed from different angles and it was a full 3d effect that I wanted to create when I set off to build this.

If I understand you correctly then nest the quad and the masking sprite in a node. Any movements or rotations applied to the node will then move the quad and sprite. By default the quad and sprite will be co-located (though you can change this by specifing pos: and rot: for the nested elements when any values you specify will be relative to the node.

@pickle1: I am looking at shows with a dress and no panties right now. Those are the ones that interest me most.
Of course that is a matter of personal taste.

When I am doing QA, I track shows that are pantyless or bottomless (where the pants are removed first but not from under a dress - e.g. a bikini where the top is kept on) and just in the most recent 470 shows there are

99 pantyless
134 bottomless

I should say though that these are shows where in at least one clip the model is pantyless. If you are looking for shows where the model just does not possess a pair of panties, then those numbers are smaller.

I just noticed that if I add in an extra model that is not part of the scene but is the first model in the scn file i.e the main model then the frame rate goes up. I assume this means that the software treats the main model differently to the other models ?? Anyway..... I won't be changing my version because I don't want to lose control of which is the main model but anyone with performance issues might want to try that.

Here i want to provide a list of pantyless shows i found.
I checked the photos to determine this so if the model wears panties in the show but they are not visible on the photos i apologize.

sounds a bit like somethang you have done already / would do at the.scn level.

You could get nearly the same effect for the "window" by using a masking texture on a quad, same goes for the strip at the top and bottom. Arent they most of the sprites?

That's a great find !! 👍 Some have the same co-ordinates but different rotation and the rotations are 360 apart - I'd gone round each circle twice !

Well... the loops scenes are an example of 10 x 4k(or 10 x 1080p for the reduced resolution version you can run) screens used as a persistant buffer. how many buffers do you want?

@Calgon , yeh i removed the tripple shaders in the sprites and didnt see any performance change. the thing with the textures wont cause any performance problem, more just a problem for you if you want to use the first "Texture" as it will use the second "Texture" and same with 3 calls to the same file. Its more for neatness and less of a headache for you and anyone else reading it. (he says having posted loads of code without comments :/ )

There are some other sprites with 2 shaders active and as with the others removing the extra one made no difference to performance.

I think its just because of the number of things its having to deal with.

Gotcha - changed this as well but it made no performance difference.

I have no idea how the core program works behind the scenes but I would have thought that when the code is compiled the final shader is the one that is calculated but it was worth a try and I "shaved off" about 50k lines of bloat from the code.

Yeah, use Notepad++ Edit >Line Operations to tidy it up a tad first methinks

@EverthangForever - the code is generated from a separate program that calculates the size, rotation and maths of the placement of "stuff". I haven't worried about the tidiness of the final code at this point because I don't edit the scn file directly. It's more about seeing whether it works at all at this stage. I was shocked when I first found that a file of 200k lines would run at all.

@Z22 "multiple textures with the same name" - yarp, I'll fix that, though these are tiny files and unlikley to affect the performance.

Keep those "snags" coming because the program has many things that are set as a single parameter and can easily be changed and the full scn code regenerated.

Should I produce a "lite" version with less detail on the circles ??

@calgon, you have a bunch of errors in the .scn for ***** things like "Sprite" should be "sprite" to sprites with multiple shders active in them, redundant things like allow and block (you only need one or the other). Am having a go at cleaning up the code so we can see whats going on. though i'm not sure whats meant to be goin on in some eg:-

The mask is at line 8145 of the published version. Changing this one line will change the appearance of all of the reflections. I've changed this to 0.5 at my end, looks better like that, they were a bit bright.

Judguing by gpu activity its not the gpu. I have a 3950x CPU. none of the cores are getting pegged full but there is a lot of spikes on 4 cores, which are on the same ccd so it's not a cross core latency problem. It's not the number of girls, i have made scenes in the past with 5 and used to be able to run 20 girls on the desktop (till they nerfed it).

As ET says, if it's only displaying the last shader in a node but is still calculating the others it could be the cause (worth investigating).

I got this card with auto-buy more than an hour ago.

By ***** those 2 shaders i can get it to run at 30fps. It's only using ~30% of my GPU so i'm guessing the bottleneck is in the .scn. Have fun figuring out where ...

If i ***** all the shaders (delete) i get 33fps. Most of the girls seem ok except the girl in the centre, she is jerky (like 7fps jerky). Might be a place to start looking.

Disk Intersection.fsh appears to be costing 6fps. (am sequentially removing shaders to see where the bottleeneck is)

The idea was that being a Premium member should have some kind of recurring benefit (to go with the recurring charges).

Premium membership already bestows two recurring benefis (not counting the little crown and the premium skin or the priority for support).

While I would welcome receiving a free SEC or joker every now and then I don't think that Totem will go for this scheme (especialy not at the rate of one a month) as it could well reduce their income rather than increase it.

Other than 4K (which I genuinely don't care for) there isn't much benefit to those of us on 3D level - it's essentially break even.

SECs have always made me unhappy as a long term and 3D customer. I got ***** a lot by the gambling games, so I decided not to invest at all in SECs any more (even though I have quite a few in my library from earlier).

Perhaps the Joker frequency could be tied to your general tier?

• 3D customers: Monthly
• 2D customers: 3 months
• 1D customers: 6 months
• Other customers: 1 per year

That way, there is an incentive to be a Premium member - especially as you level up. And SECs become a privilege for those who buy more shows. Seems like a fair deal to me - both for Totem and for customers.

Of course, this would still allow people to play the games if they want to ... it would just be nice to be rewarded for loyalty and being a larger customer.

I think adding a monthly Joker card to this would make this a BRILLIANT offer. That way, customers who stay longer can get Special Event cards by subscription rather than just via the games ... and it would take more than 12 months to get them all, which would help to drive loyalty and retention.

As it stands, Premium is a bit "meh" for me. But add that monthly Joker card, and I will NEVER unsubscribe.

Not that i am argueing with your idea.. but i really dont think they will add a monthly joker to the mix ever.... It would be more realistic to say maybe 2 or 3 a year... like quaterly or every 6 months... but no way every month. I dont know what the release rate is on SEC, but i thought it was usually one per month almost.... by giving a joker away monthly, they would basically be giving you the SEC every month, no way that will happen. And for someone like me who has all SEC (most by winning them in the games) I am sitting on two jokers as it is and just waiting on SEC cards to possibly use them on oneday.... i would be collecting a ton of joker cards if they gave them out monthly. Now 2 or 3 a year... i would probably sign up for Premium right now if that was the case.... again, not argueing, but trying to look at things logically from a sales/consumer point of view.....

The colors and the camera zooming in on the center model
periodically, goes particularly well with music like P.Floyd. For a
scene deploying five 3Kclipsprites the stuttering was negligible 👍

The main thangs I changed at my end were to halve opacity of
da reflections and comment out the unused shaders & some
other stuff that might have been slowing it down some.
I believe within a node like a sprite node, only the last thus
listed (declared) shader in that node is used.
