Hallo Leute,

vielleicht kann mir einer helfen und sagen ob die Istripper version auf 32bit läuft oder ob sie auch 64bit unterstützt?

To add gkar45 - the program itself is 32bit.

As @Wyldanimal pointed, it would now be good to have also a 64bit version, in order to get a better management of 4K animations. I really hope it will be made in the future.

Problem there is the xp users.

Wish they would split off a working version for xp and end support for it, and a win10 x64 only version.

It is about time to release 64 bit istripper
To upgrade to " PREMIUM " 4k resolution more memory & i'm waiting to upgrade to Premium when 64 bit istripper is released .

3K with 10 models require about 2Gig memory ..... - 32 bit iStripper - o.K.
4K with 10 models , how much more memory is needed ????????? - 64 bit iStripper - When will it be released ????

4K with 10 models , any member knows ,how much memory is required ? Running Smoothely, not tooo slow ?

64 Bit iStripper ?????

Win 10 64 bit - further Win 10 update 2004 + - eventually it is moving away from 32 bit apps . !!!

Whilst this may be true, many users may still be on previous versions of Windows and do not wish to buy a new pc.
If iStripper was 64 bit only, it might not work on some older pc's.
I am sure Totem are watching and planning for this in the future.
This laptop is Windows 10, 64 bit .. but I have a 32 bit Windows 10 desktop. Plus Windows 7 (32 and 64) computers ... even XP. However I only use this laptop for iStripper.

If they cba to upgrade their os they will just use an older version of the software (like this one). The rest of us shouldnt be held back by a few stuck in the muds.

My personal opinion is that owners of very very very old equipments should upgrade them.
In any case, Totem could release both a 32bit and a 64bit version, as many other software companies do.

I'm not sure their team is big enough to split development to two versions. They could make the x32 version work as best they reasonably can (no critical bugs) then cease development on x32 and only spend time on a win10 x64 only version (yep abandon support for anything below win10 x64).

Statistics show that over 50% are still running on 32 bit OS.
XP, Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows 8.1, and Windows 10 all in 32 bit.
More on 32 bit than on 64 bit.

Apple has Moved to Mandate that All APPS must be 64 bit, going forward.

So there will have to be a length of time, when both a 32 bit App and a 64 Bit App are concurrently released.
a Member will have to Choose.

4K with 10 models , any member knows ,how much memory is required ?
There is no Pre-determind Memory amount.

Each Clip when Played, is 1st Expanded into Memory.
So the Size ( length in time ) of Each Clip Varies and So to the Amount of Memory it uses.
the Combined total of All 10 clips expanded into Memory is not something that can be pre-determined.

10 clips of 4K which are just short previews, will play in Less than 3GB of Memory, and run fine in 32 bit.
Processor speed, Core and Thread Count Will determine how smooth they play.

But 10, 4K clips of 90 seconds length, will exceed the 4GB ( 3.5GB realistically ) of Memory limit of a 32 bit app.

But its getting to the point where legacy support is holding back innovation for the newer OSes that have advanced capabilities. Im no expert but I remember another user asking about why the software was using qt 5.4 when qt 5.12 or a higher version added high DPI support and other functionsand XP user base was the reason for it. Going to need to cut bait and place XP,Vista, maybe Windows 7 on 32bit legacy release cycle and release 64 bit Windows 7? and Windows 10.

Statistics? From where?

From steam, over 90% of windows users are using x64 with 79% being win10 alone. Now i realise thats gamers but are your stats including business computers?

I'm working in a public administration where 200000 PC run under Win10 64bits, and it's not the only public administration in France to use this version of Windows.

At my place of Business, we still have some Legacy 16 bit applications.
you can run these on a 32 bit OS, you Can't on 64 bit.
out of about 100 installs, all but about 10 are 32 bit.
and 10 of them are 64 bit.

mot of my Clients are also running 32 bit OS.
I'd say out of my Clients it's about a 50/ 50 split
50% have migrated to 64 bit OS and 50% are still using 32 Bit.

I just wanted to check in on this forum again. Any news on making a 64-bit version of this software? I want to optimize my computer to display on multiple 4k displays. I still haven't purchased premium because of this, but I might do it to test it out.
