@Manue, 2 Day Trial to InteractiveGF When Buying Credits Through Epoch

I just bought some credits and used Epoch Billing. They had a 2 day trial to InteractiveGF and there was no way to uncheck it. None of the other billing pages offered this, but I chose Epoch anyway since I've done a lot of business with them in the past and trust them. I just want to make sure I am not billed again in 2 days for some site I will never use. I contacted Epoch and they are not seeing any free trial subscription but said there is a small chance it will get directed to another biller after the trial. They also said there is nothing they can do about it since they do not see it in my account. They recommended I contact the support team here. Also, nothing from the trial site was emailed to me, but I'm still a bit worried about getting hit with a charge in 2 days.

Manue, is there anything you can do to look into this for me, and cancel any recurring billing that may have been generated? Having an unselectable free trial on a purchase page is a bad idea, and I should have gone with a different biller... would have if I'd known there's nothing Epoch can do.

En effet c'est une très mauvaise idée.

Nous ne devrions jamais se faire proposer ce genre d'essai gratuit sur d'autres sites, lors de l'achat de crédits. Je me tiens toujours loin de l'option d'achat de crédits avec ce genre d'offre.


This is a very bad idea indeed.

We should never be offered this kind of free trial on other sites, when buying credits. I always stay away from the option of buying credits with this kind of offer.

In the past, the answer was to log into the website, and cancel the subscription.
Check the email in the spam section and log in so you can cancel.

I would do it as soon as possible.

Having an unselectable free trial on a purchase page is a bad idea

Just wanted to point out, that it is 100% un-selectable.
Maybe it gets overlooked...

When you Select the 250 credit package, there is a Notice that it includes a 2 Day free trial.

When you then proceed to the Payment Page,
There is a Box that you CAN uncheck.
Notice the Information I put the green box around and the Link to read the Terms and Conditions.

the information in the green box also changes.

Its unethical to have any other optional purchase box checked by default. It should always require an intentional opt-in, Though is it totem or Epoch adding in this pre-checked opt-in trial.

As a test, I tried the package that has the trial.
  • I changed biller to 'epoch'
  • I selected the package
  • I clicked to make purchase
  • I deselected the free trial
  • I did not complete the purchase
That was easy.

No, I do not get the option to unselect it on any of the payment pages with Epoch as a biller. In fact, it does not appear there at all, and I would post a SS to prove it if that was possible here. It's not there at all, but only on the primary page where you choose the package you want, and it is unselectable there still. The first thing i did was contact Epoch, and they said they do not see a free trial. Also, I contacted CS for the "trial" site, LifeSelector support (CS for InteractiveGF), and they said there is no account registered to the email I use for iStripper.

So, I never got an email from them at all and had no way to log in, but I did manage to contact them. It's been more than 2 days now, so it seems that something is just glitching for me. I just double checked and the trial offer still appears on the Epoch page, but still not when I proceed to payment. Ata any rate, no charge has appeared so I guess it will be okay. The 2 day trial would have been complete more than 24 hours now. If they still somehow manage to push a charge through, I'll get back in touch here, as well as with Epoch.

Edit: I just looked again and there is indeed a checkbox that can be unticked with the $30 and $50 packages, but only those two. So maybe the trial is only supposed to be offered with those two. Since I purchased neither of those, I suppose the offer did not truly extend to me. Man, what a nightmare of poor communication. If that is the case, clarity on the offer page would have saved me a lot of time.

You did not purchase a pack of 250 credits.
This is the only pack with the Lifeselector offer.
You can't have subscribed to their recurring...

Okay, thanks for the replies, everybody. At least it's clear to me now that a tickbox will appear with any of the packages that are eligible for any trial offers. I knew that was what's supposed to happen, but since it didn't appear with the package I purchased, I thought something was glitching and was concerned. This thread can be closed, thanks.
