Mines working fine too. I had to delete files a few times to get it to work, not a big deal. I am not letting it update anything until this issue is resolved. From whatI have been reading it seems that if anything is using your network resourses while the downloader is updating you are going to have problems.

Yeah,

I've had it hiccup a few times in the last few days...

Suddenly went to only showing 14 trailers instead all my full shows, etc.

So far, hitting "Check for updates" has fixed it.

Worst case, quitting VGHD and ***** the "Download Manager" from Windows Task Manger then restarting fixed it just fine.

A bit of patience doesn't ***** either. ;)

I have had v1.0.2.1 since release and had no problems whatsoever.
Every thing is working fine for me.

I have 2 computers running VGHD. On one of them the install went perfect and the software runs smooth. The other one is my main office desktop with Panda Security set on maximum... I have not yet been able to install the latest update on this computer and I will never lower the security level for any reason on this computer! As it is now it seams like Panda is blocking and/or deleting any update I try and make. Maybe this is related to the new "spy function" added to detect any purchase of cards via open browser windows. Personally I think this is a very BAD idea!

I think Rex covered this one.

One of the new features might interfere with (or be interfered with) because it is trying to scrape browser windows.
The suggestion was that if you have stability or firewall or spyware problems, try stopping one thing at a time. Another thread reports HP printer drivers causing problems.

Like I said in my previous post... there is no way in hell I disable my firewall or AVG software on this computer... There has to be another way! ...or Totem should remove this feature asap! I do however have a HP printer connected... but I need that one to be able to work! ;) again... not an option to remove. As it is now v.1.0.1.1 is working fine on this computer and if there is a known conflict with the HP drivers I'd rather wait until they fix that problem than risk messing up the install all together. Like I said this is my main computer where I do lots of work and I don't want to risk anything on this one.

I have a second computer with only windows firewall and no HP printer attached. On this computer the updated software runs smooth.

Please be constructive here, we're not asking you to stop using any of your favorite software, we're asking your help to find a bug by telling us what makes Virtuagirl crash so we can fix it.

Some people mention HP drivers and Kodak easyshare, we're working on it. Let me know if you see conflicts with other software.

I don't not if it was really so easy, but 10 min ago I saw all my full shows were gone. Than I pressed the button "check for updates" and all my 64 fullshow were back.

I use the version released on 27th march - version 1.0.2.1

Could it really be so easy or do I have to do something more?!

Hi I have gone to update in the software and nothing at the moment. I did not get a tip pop up saying update. This is a big of whats happens on my software. The models are there but all mixed up as one show plays someone else. Thanks Markxx Ps great work guys.

@Markxx - Hi you, after your post here I tried to click the button "perform now" for ten times with 10 different shows. All I can say is that everything works well.

Nothing mixed up and no software crash yet.

hi juliuserving29 so if I can't update how do I go on? I have no tip pop up as yet saying update also tried the update in the software. So is there a link to up anyware? Thanks Markxx

That screen shot looks messed up. All the girls should have pictures, which leads me to believe that the downloader is still busy in the background downloading stuff.
Given this, I suspect that animations you are trying to 'perform now' are missing OR contain no animations of the type you have selected on 'Desktop'. When you ask to perform now an empty list of animations, it will select an animation to play.

Also, what version is listed on the about tab? If it is less than 1.0.2.0 then you should upgrade, buy visiting the web site and using the "Download" option from the top menu. After reading the instructions (or before if you know what you are doing) select the "Download Software" tab and download and run the upgrade.

Update:
I just managed to install the update after temporarily terminating the HP-tools software. After a successful install and reboot the software seams to run smooth even with the HP-tools active.

But... I have a third computer with a second account that I only use for free trailers and for some unknown reason the automatic update doesn't work on that one... It seams like something is blocking the update from shutting down VGHD when trying to initiate the update. Anyone know anything about this? Don't have any HP tools or AVG on that one.

Ohhh..this is starting to freak me out(very little computer savvy on my part)! I'd hoped I could ride this change out, not switching my system until all was fixed and just adding my already downloaded "bonus pack" from Valentines day...(being on dial up)maybe I can do that as I am 63% into an addition & still working ok and don't want to mess with that but have to go to work now. I'm thinking that maybe if I just don't download anything from the site I'll be ok at least until I return home in about 13 hours & by then the team will have fixed the bugs.Ok cross my fingers!(driving to work with everything crossed!)

I had the same problem when I tried to install vghd giving the file location of the folders on an external drive.

could this be the problem? did you move the girls to an external HD and then reinstall to that location?

Hi GeeseH I backed all my girls up to a external drive, and then just took them back of the external drive to my models folder. It has never done anythink like this before, so I don't know want to think lol. Thanks Markxx

Mine keeps checking every card.

I uncheck some and later, find all checked again. Annoying. Could be happening when I buy cards and they download. I'll have to watch that next card I buy.

Occasionally I find the card list dropped to 14 previews. Usually this is accompanied by the connections status flipping back and forth between "connected" and "not connected" every few seconds. Sometimes clicking check for updates fixes it. Sometimes the only way to get everything "normal" again is to quit VGHD and then manually ***** the downloader in task manager. On restart, everything works OK again. UNLESS the "connected" indicator continues to ***** back and forth. Then a reboot seemed to fix it for the night.

This happens when I'm NOT downloading anything. Even from VGHD itself. At least according to what is showing in the download tab anyway.

I do not run any virus or firewall on my PC. There is a hardware firewall/router between me and the cable modem.
