Hi, I just recently joined, and, not wanting to invest too heavily in something that may or may not be good, I only spent 15 dollars on 100 credits for my first purchase. I used paypal for it (available to new members only) as this allowed me to use my Discover card.

Naturally, those 100 credits were gone in a flash, as this stuff is amazing! However, I only have a Discover credit card (to help keep my finances easy to manage) and thus don't have a way to pay for more credits (MasterCard and Visa are the only credit cards accepted at this time, it appears, and I will not be getting one any time soon, if ever.)

Will Discover become an accepted credit card in the near future in some way?

Discover Card is accepted. You just need to change the current biller - NETBilling; to one of the other billers. I personally like Epoch. You need to Proceed to Payment. It will show up on that page. Hope this helps.
