@KingVCrimson "you just realize women have tattoos in nowadays?" Oh I've realised that all right. What you haven't realised yet is that all this "corporal expression" is nothing but women obediently doing what the fashion industry tells them to do. That's not corporal expression, that's corporate submission. "Be free and original, get a tattoo", and lo, all women get a tattoo. How quaint.
But in a way, it's as it always was: tattoos were never a means of "expression", it was always a sign of belonging to a group. Back in olden times, people belonged to a tribe. Today, they belong to corporate capitalism. In both cases, freedom and expression have very little to do with this.
Anyway, as I specifically stated, I don't like it but I'm not trying to impose anything to those women, they're free to do whatever they will. In return, am I not allowed free expression too? Do I have to get insulted or made fun of, however weirdly, because I (very politely) expressed my opinion about some specific tattoos?
@Stanston I've very often thanked @Totem for the good job they're doing. Look under my avatar: it says February 2008, even though I was already a customer three years before that, when they first launched their product, and I'm still here, so one could hardly consider me a *****.
However, Totem are not doing this as a free public service, out of the goodness of their hearts. They're doing this for the paying customers that we are. So do we really have to ecstatically express our thankfulness and adoration every time we talk about anything around here? I didn't even criticise Totem. If we're not allowed to say what we think, what's even the point of having a forum?
That's the end of it on my part, or our Moderator friends would have to put a stop to it, and rightly so, but I couldn't let this slide.
