I have VG2 on my computer and had kept it because I have a large collection from my time on the site. But recently they closed the page, and now I don't have access to my old files, or pics, or videos. I remember when I purchased them it said the files will always be yours, but now that the page is gone I can't download the pics or animations. I usually kept a certain amount on my computer to save space and swapped the files as I liked.

I'm not sure if its cool that I don't have access to them anylonger. Actually it doesn't feel very fair, is there an alternate way to still have access to my VG2 files. there was still much more variety in VG2 especially ethnicity wise which is why I still favored it more. Lady shade was a favorite of mine.

Now I'm stuck with the very narrow selection of VGHD. they are not bad ladies, but I enjoyed my VG2 files.

Please advise on what to do to retain the files from my old account.

There are a couple of options. I am guessing that you let your membership of VG2 lapse? If I am correct then your options are:

1. Send a message to the help desk and they can temporarily re activate your account for say a month allowing you time to redownload what you need to and create backups, then the pages will be closed off to you forever.

2. If you were contemplating taking out a VGHD membership again then create a new membership on VG2 and send a message to the help desk asking them to link this new account to your old account (to keepo the redistration keys etc in order) and that you want to link this to your VGHD membership.

The later will leave you with ongoing access to the VG2 pages.

The later will also require support from the main team in Paris as well.

Well I went to the page and it said that VG2 page was no longer being supported.

I still have all my info, and should still have access to my animations. But the page says :unsupported:

well I go to virtuagirl2.com then navigate to the members page and login which is this:

after I put in my login info, I get rediercted to a page advertising VGHD, and I have to click a link that takes me back here to VGHD's page.

can any one help me at all?

I think the key statement of 6216jaby post is "the files will always be yours, but now that the page is gone"!

It is gone, you are directed here. What he is trying to say is that he purchased those files, and he should have access to those files and he does not? When he bought VG2 he was told "they are yours forever".
