First they change the format of the the model's name and the cards title by replacing the background colors with a boring black and adding a large unsightly 3K box that distracts from the models picture.

Then on some cards they replace the VG logo with the name Mark Dorcel.

HAVE THEY LOST THEIR MINDS??

Who the hell is Mark Dorcel anyway and why would I want his name on my VirtuaGirl cards!!!

I remember when VirtuaGirl was a "classy" product. But it seems like ever since they became associated with Hustler they have slowly gone down hill.

I used to think VirtuaGirl was up there with PlayBoy when it came to good taste, but that is no longer the case.

Marc Dorcel is a French producer of pornographic films who founded the company Video Marc Dorcel. Besides producing films by himself, he also produces films in partnership with people like Michel Ricaud, Cyril Randuineau, Marc Ange and Michel Barny. Dorcel is known for the long-running Pornochic film series, featuring many of Europe's most well known adult film stars.

Dorcel's projects are often filmed in exotic European locations, and have been awarded for their high production values: characterizing them as films with a degree of artfulness and attention to detail in hardcore pornography. Dorcel's contemporaries include the established pornographic director/producers Andrew Blake, Viv Thomas and Michael Ninn.

Marc Dorcel is awesome but ... i hope you are not going to sell VG to them? I am really like that you OWN VG this makes your product really special. Some cooperation with Dorcel can be nice but .. I am feared that .. OMG ...

Well if they took a big enough hit the last couple years I wonder if this is a backer that stepped in? That or almost an ad service for other adult vendors maybe. Something to pick up lost revenue.

I will have to check the site more often and see what changes are in store.

Had I of known the incoming cards would cause such a fuss I wouldn't have bothered posting them, did anyone take notice that only a selection of the cards had the Marc Dorsel LOGO, did anyone stop to consider maybe just maybe these cards are ones that Marc Dorcel maybe contributed to in there production, why jump to conclusion about the product just because of what looks to me like a collaboration of talents in the making of a few cards.

@vixen01
Sorry, but it occurred to me ... now will come on the cards Michael Ninn, Viv Thomas, or Andrew Blake avatar too?

P.S.:
I agree with @harshie.
I also liked it better the old VG cards' graphic, was more varied and colorful. This new color is too dark, to much dark shades, to much the black. Could have been f.e. the VG card is blue, the DB card is green, could have a poll to keep the outside of the new cards.

Really, come on szalka, it was just a bio of his work, and who knows if viv thomas, andrew blake or anyone is going to do a collaboration then maybe Totem would add their LOGO too.

@vixen01 - Perhaps but I would rather run around worrying about falling sky. I couldn't see the cards so I was thinking it was from the last set not an upcoming.

This is in no way official info, but, as all of you might know, there are models that are exclusive to some brands. Is rather obvious that there's some sort of partnership between Totem and Dorcel, could be more partnerships in the future, dunno.

In my view, this is good, cause there are models that otherwise would never be featured at VG due to exclusive rights. Rather that crying that the sky is falling, would be better to wait for official info and stop assuming things about Totem and their finances. These novelties are, IMO, exciting after many years of same old, same old.

OK guys, settle down.

I'm gonna just toss this out there........

Here in The States, sometimes girls will sign contracts with a particular porn production company. At that point, they are considered "Contract Girls". Usually, that contract requires the girls be exclusive to that production company. Working somewhere else would ***** their contract and potentially cost them more money than they could earn with the "Side Work".

We, the members, have been screaming about wanting better(hotter) girls in the line up.

Perhaps Totem reached out to local production companies and modelling agencies they haven't had the opportunity to work with yet in the hopes of being able to provide hotter girls. Maybe, just maybe, Marc Dorcel jumped on the chance to put a few of his girls on VirtuaGirl and/or Deskbabes......as long as he still had some interest in it.

Let's say........A partnership. Only with His "Contract Girls".

partnership with Dorcel? awesome .. really awesome! perhaps some welcome back cards of Liza del Serra:) I myself consider Dorcel style of presenting girls and particulary makeup style 1 of the best in industry. Perhaps the BEST. Now 2 their of girls in office outfit which i like the most! Some western european experienced models which we dont have enough here. Sounds like good news for me really!

@Ullubu, I dont have that new skin! I wonder why ...

@vixen01 - Thanks for the bio information on Mark Dorcel. Not being a big fan of porn I had never heard of him. By the way I am glad to see that I am not the only one that thought the " old VG cards' graphic, was more varied and colorful".

@Oquijan and vixen01 - Did not mean to cause all of this speculation .. guess I should have waited until a card with Mark Dorcel's logo was released before I commented.

And as for Totem aligning themselves with Hustler, That was done 3-4 years ago when Totem purchased HustlerGirls Back from them. Because I joined under HustlerGirls just to find out that it was also a Totem subsidiary then Totem just merged the 2 back int one program.
These pics might look familiar to a lot of the older members.

Oki, now I get it =)

Personally I think it's positive that Totem team up with more content providers as it gives Totem a wider base for recruiting beautiful ladies to come dance for us. It's a win win situation.

Yea, and as 91hebasa mentioned, if they are contract girls I am all for it. They are usually the best in the biz, thats why they get bought up.

Also, I had no idea VG was once called HustlerGirls. Nice... so did Hustler send girls over to Totem or something?

Really Harshie? You're that upset about the background colour of the cards? The logos? Really? Don't take this the wrong way, but you need to check your priorities.

This skin is not intended to VirtuaGirl members.

We have a partnership with Marc Dorcel to bring you some of their most beautiful models on VirtuaGirl (keep an eye on the next releases :-P).

This skin is for them only, to propose their stripping girls to their clients. It won't be proposed to VirtuaGirl members.

The cards will be available on Virtuagirl rene22 ;)

Hemmingford I also like the new cards they look crisp and clear in the software, I also hope they stick with the clothed cards on deskbabes, I find them more classy than those they have produced in the past with topless images ;)

@Hemingford - I do make my own replacement cards. I use full body pictures of the ladies in order that I may better see the outfits worn by the models in each card. However I try to keep the general color schemes of the original cards in order to keep the distinctive look of VirtuaGirl.

@Nimrood - I understand that my priorities are different from most members. The main reason I joined VirtuaGirl was to get the bonus pictures. So you see, my priorities have always been related to graphics when it comes to VirtuaGirl.

For years my "hobby" has been finding pictures on the web of pretty women and cropping out the background to create wallpapers. I am not interested in pornographic movies or explicit pictures.

If you visit my site at http://www.harshie.net/virtuagirls.htm you will see examples of what is important to me about VirtuaGirl.
