Oui, Totem consulte le forum et on s'aperçoit d'ailleurs que certaines évolutions du logiciel viennent de là, ainsi que le choix de certaines filles, tenues, pratiques dans les shows. Mais le critère essentiel (pour toute entreprise d'ailleurs) c'est le bénéfice à l'arrivée et quand quelque chose rapporte bien, on la garde.

Yes, Totem reads the forum and we can see that some software updates come from there, as well as the choice of some girls, outfits, routines in the shows. But the essential criteria (for any company by the way) it's the benefit at the end and when something pays well, we keep it.

I remember I saw "that's far too much" complaints in past years even about the 25% - 30 % of XXX cards which was being released at that time -- Truth probably is that some "plain fan" simply would not want to see even a single XXX clip here.

Just had a very quick scan through the Best Sellers 2020 list - I'm only missing one show and deleted one, but looks to me like only 4 cards were table only, and all the remaining XXX cards had plenty of standing and pole clips. I think some are worrying too much about this. iStripper is making shows to appeal to as many customers as possible, and perhaps the old problem no one is 100% happy about it. Not much in this world is 100% - couple of things perhaps 😄

I never saw the XXX fans asking the dance nor the stripping nor the tease clips to be eliminated from iStripper, instead.

• If you like the model or her outfit enough to buy the card, buy it and simply disable one or two XXX clips;
• if you don't, don't buy the card, and buy only plain cards - there still are tons of them, here.

I will repeat: on iStripper there is (and there always should be) a strong variety and enough content to please both plain and XXX show lovers; so, no one should ever be asked to "go away and look elsewhere for what you like" by anyone among the "opposite faction"...

While that is true we also see here that there are people that avoid cards that are tagged "bare feet" or its absense despite also being able to disable the offending clips. For the "harder tags" the effect is likely to be stronger.

It may be so for some users - but generally speaking facts (not speculations) are that in 2020 out of 20 most sold cards, 17 were XXX.

I get really tired of reading "you can get plenty of what you want on other sites, so go away and let me have just what I want on iStripper," an argument which comes from both sides of this debate. No, you can't. Yes, you can find many hardcore sites on the Internet, and yes, you can find many softcore sites on the Internet, but iStripper is (at best) one of the very few producers that puts the model right on your taskbar to interact with, or makes her available to insert into a custom scene of your own. You simply cannot do that with content from other producers, whether hardcore or softcore.

Pas d'inquiétude, un collectionneur restera un collectionneur et si une poignée d'entre eux réduisent leurs achats, ils achèteront toujours une bonne partie des shows. La perte pour totem serait minime.

Certains shows réguliers sont également ennuyeux et gagneraient en qualité (à mon avis) s'ils possédaient une partie xxx.

Don't worry, a collector will remain a collector and if a handful of them reduce their purchases, they will still buy a good portion of the shows. The loss for totem pole would be minimal.

Some regular shows are also boring and would improve in quality (in my opinion) if they had an xxx part.

No they haven't. Originally, when iStripper was called VGHD, regular cards sustained the business. Then they brought out xxx in the form of DeskBabes, a separate collection using the same technology. This wasn't a success, possibly it took buyers away from VGHD rather than attracting new buyers, and the two products were combined.

It may be that xxx isn't more popular, just more profitable, because xxx fans spend more on games and stuff. Increasing the % of xxx looks dangerous to me, if they are going to lose more collectors like @TheEmu . Those guys provide the regular income that keeps iStripper going. The xxx lovers can get their fix with regular porn vids, but the stripper-in-the-corner proposition is unique.

Personally, I agree with those who are now avoiding most xxx cards. There's just too much masturbating and not enough striptease. I'm sick of trying to hide my disappointment when I comment on my purchases.

That was the point of the post that you replied to. On the other hand the post that I replied to implied that introducing things that were would automatically be a good thing. I am sure that is not what the poster meant, but it is implied by what he wrote (which was an over generalisation).

One observation I have made, maybe valid and maybe not, is that the few regular cards are quite good and full of energy now that many girls spend more time on the table in the xxx. Michel Dark, for example, has an outstanding regular card that stands above the others as she is full of energy and pretty creative. Dancing for 5+ hours is not only exhausting but monotonous for amateur performers. It might also be that girls are requesting more xxx, and less dancing. Dancing is a very exposing activity and requires a lot of talent, a talent that is often not used in the porn industry. Many girls might be more comfortable with the sitting and playing than dancing. I know I would be.

It's disappointing that XXX cards are better-selling but not surprising. The XXX cards give the impression to many people that you get more content. In some cases you do, but in most cases it is just different content. When I was new to the program, some of my earlier purchases were XXX cards for this very reason, I thought you were getting more. But when I found out for sure that the full nudity dancing shows were exactly what I wanted, I stopped buying XXX cards. Also I'm not a fan of looking at the back of a girl's hand for 30 minutes while she masturbates. It does nothing for me. Maybe they should call the "regular shows" something else so the XXX shows don't seem like regular shows+?

Also the last 6 shows (and counting) have been XXX. There have also been similar streaks very recently. That really sucks (at least for me). The program has been out for a long time, have the XXX cards always sold this well?

I regretted buying Eve Sweet's last show because
Totem Production decided to combine 'deep-er ' throat
(to almost gagging) with the squirt clip. Excluding
that clip would have lost me 8 minutes and 20 seconds
of the show or 22% of it. Same happens with anal -
whether we like it or not, Totem expect us to subsidize
the loading which they pay to models for doing that.
Let those who want it, pay for it. The problem lays with
Production deciding for us, what we should like to see together.
They mix the activities on each clip for us to buy the card &
for customers like me it often means, once bitten, twice shy.

I think for tags like "anal" and "squirt" they only relate to a couple of clips towards the end of many XXX cards. Easily avoided if the clip is disabled and you still have a very nice show even if you don't want those. Rare cards with all clips like this probably do need a note/disclaimer. Otherwise I think a card like Gia Ren - Miss Red Hood - which does have a note about the content would leave you with just the three preview clips. I've still not watched it - I guess curiosity will get me to in the end.

@JUSHIRO Difficult for anyone to help you I think without knowing what you like. It's all very subjective.
Do you prefer the shows with darker hair? Bare feet, high heels or some of both?
Which outfit do you like? Do you want a less explicit show or the XXXs?
If you get a XXX show you would then be able to access all 10 bonus videos to help make further decisions. Perhaps just go by the highest rating for the first one?
Sorry if I'm being obvious here, but you might then find the show best for you. 👍

Il y a comme un mouvement de quelques utilisateurs vers plus de cartes régulières, mais totem décidera en fin de compte en fonction du marché!

Your example (totem data) is interesting especially since few cards have this tag.
And personally, the "squirt" tag is a good reason to buy.
There is like a move of a few users towards more regular cards, but totem will ultimately decide depending on the market!

Anyway: "plain" cards don't (usually) have any XXX clips, but XXX cards usually have many (in most cases, majority of) "plain" clips. So they may have something to please "plain clips" lovers too.

Personally I am happy with both the "plain" and the XXX side of iStripper.
I like plain cards too, and never would ask them to be quite reduced or eliminated - a thing that, instead, I always have been seeing several plain card fans repeatedly to ask about XXX cards.

I understand that all other games pick cards randomly from all collections except Vg classic. We also figured out that this game works just like the others.
The issue here is why state a different rule if it's just the same as for the other games?

When you read this rule:

Where do you see the notion of randomness over collections from 2007 up to 30 days ago?

If you ask a friend what s/he's been up to recently, do you expect her/him to talk about stuff from 5 years ago or from their childhood? 😀

Perso, j'ai dépassé le stade du show XXX ou pas XXX. Aujourd'hui j'en suis rendu à acheter une carte uniquement en fonction de l'allure de la miss et de sa tenue vestimentaire. Pour ce qui est du show, je n'y trouve pas/plus de vraies hardeuses et encore moins de vraies danseuses. Je pense qu'il doit y avoir aussi un effet de lassitude, qui sait.

I get it. The rule says "most recent", the cards drawn are not "among the most recent", so in fact it's just like all the other games, cards are just randomly selected from all collections.
Then why add this rule if it doesn't apply?

Je comprend bien votre interrogation. Si vous vous souvenez de mon post précédent : cartes plus récentes = toutes sauf cartes classiques (considérées comme anciennes) Alors la description du jeu peut être considérée comme correcte.

I had over 300 cards available in the store from 2019 and 2020 even excluding the previous 30 days ones. Why aren't any of these selected then?
Like all of the Events, not all of the win options will be to your liking,
in that case your option is to spin again, or to not play.

Randomness is just that, it's random...
5 spins, 40 spins, 100 spins is not enough to draw precise evaluation of the random odds.

the results of the spin are based on the NOT owned cards for that particular Member.
but it doesn't mean that ALL of the results will be as expected.

So if the spin results do not meet with your likings, then you can Spin again, or not.

You said it in an earlier post: For a member who doesn't have cards from 2020. Most recent will be cards starting from 2020.
At least you tried to give an explanation for "most recent".

The rule doesn't say "cards are randomly selected from all collections except ...", it says "selected among the most recent cards not in your collection and more than 30 days old". I'm not the one making the rules.

Maybe the XXX customers are more profitable now, so iStripper is moving towards more xxx content. Totem's business model has changed over the last couple of years, as they introduce the SECs, games and costume sales. These seem to increase margins and profitability, probably because studio time is less for each $ earned. We don't know that xxx customers play games and spend more, but Totem does. It wouldn't be a surprise if the mix changes to accommodate this.

@Wyld this is so true about randomness. 😎 I remember the early ages of microcomputers some people were creating massive database with all results of the national loterie for the past decades in the hope to play highly probable combinations... 😂

But one point to be strictly accurate. Totem is using pseudo-random generators in their algorithms. That is the bias brought by computing to randomness. 😋

But your explanations and conclusions remain valid anyway. 👍
