There were thirteen cards I did not want in the month of June and the lineup of girls for July is very similar, so as much as I love The Red Fox, that is far too many unwanted cards to buy to get one I do want.

I guess I will just have to do without "The Black Fox". I am begining to agree with all those who ***** the special event cards.

Wyldanimal, you are right paying 200 for one card when you could pay almost double and get that one card plus a handful of others you may have gotten anyways in exchange for some you wouldnt wont is insane logic.

Now onto the whole discount thing, it shows more incentive to buy in bulk like that. A single card isn't going to be enough for most even if it's the only way to obtain it. You are asking them to drop atleast 400 credits and hope more are hits for them than misses and that is honestly asking for alot. I say a flat 20% discount on top of the member status discount like what they did for the Josephine special event would be ideal.

If monthly pre-orders, Black Friday, and Advent Calendar (which is another monthly pre-order) is the only way to get new SECs and the scratch game is the only way to get past SECs than i've got a total of four in that pile and only really want one.

If you guys would stick the Girls in great outfits (compare to boring ones) maybe the over all selling from the weekly cards would be better and you don´t have to let the people pre-pay for a hole month and get cards with it wich they wouldn´t pay for.

If the offer would be like pre-order the next 5 July cards and get the special card i had taken the offer cause Red Fox is one of my favourite but 500 credits and gambling that the July card are great over all... no thanks.

I agree with @orclover on these two points. Totem is free to offer whatever promotions they like. Yes, as customers, we are free to *****, but there's absolutely no feedback that's as loud as simply not participating in offers that we don't like.

Totem is not stupid or evil, but like most businesses they experiment with "elasticity of demand". That's the economic principle to describe how the price of a highly desired item can be increased without losing a significant number of buyers and/or profit. However, at some point, an increase does cause a significant loss, so businesses roll back to the previous price and consider that an appropriate price based on current demand. In this case, Totem is testing to see whether customers will pre-pay for a month of cards with no discount and only the special event card as an incentive. It sounds like a lot of us posting in this thread won't, but if enough people do buy it, then there's no reason that Totem shouldn't continue to offer promotions like this. I might not like missing out on The Black Fox card, but that's the way the free market works.

(It's really too bad that stoicism isn't a sport because I would seriously kick ass ... 😐)

I have way too many cards that I do not like in my 'Not downloaded' list. There are even some cards that I rather throw away for good, because I got them from all the scratchcard and slot machine games that I have played in the past. 😕

I have all the previous "Special Event Cards", but I believe I'll pass this time. At least I have a week to mull it over. Shame, really, as Red Fox is one of my very favourites.

After all the previous bundle buys and various promos, nowadays I always buy cards based solely on performer: it the performer is to my liking, I'll buy her card. I don't very much care about the outfit, or theme of the card, whether she wears heels or stockings or whatever or not. None of that matters to me, really. If I like the performer, I will buy the card.

SO, I visited Lukaszr's website and took a look at all the cards listed there, that are not released yet. That's 108 cards at the moment. I know that I will buy about 60% of them and the rest are "certainly not" or "unlikely". If that spread of 108 cards is even for July's releases, and I calculate the value of those 60% to my full Triple-Diamond price, "certainly nots" as zero, and "unlikelies" as 25% value, the price for the Red Fox special event card would amount to 140-150 credits to me...

That's about 15 euros extra spent, which is not really that much, but it's still quite a lot for one card - I have to consider, if having 19 Red Fox cards instead of 20 is really worth 150 credits to rectify... at the moment I think it isn't.

Yeah, it's a crappy offer. I made the mistake of buying it cause I will probably buy the full month of cards anyway. Not all, I don't think I'd buy Li Moon's cards so I guess that if any of her show up they will remain grey too.

I do not have a problem with the promotion. If people do not participate the card will eventually be for sale and if people give totem lots of money that isn't totem's fault. I do wish that one could choose their special event card for pre-sale offers. I only have one red fox card and I was considering the presale except I won't get the special event cards I want.

Really? Are you crazy enough to think that your costumers are that crazy? I'll never buy 31 cards without having a preview at all. This "offer" and the so called games let me start thinking. I bought a lot just for having a complete collection but now I will stop buying cards untill I really want ONE. That may take a while.

Actually, the discounts on cards don't really appeal to me(well the 45% triple diamond discount does) and I will just pay the full triple diamond price anyway. The few pennies that I save on discounts is piss all compared to my network fees

And 2 of the 3 new cards actually downloaded. The Lilu Moon card had the BS server error at 98%, The downloader actually read the downloaded files of that card and did not redownload them, but just downloaded the missing file that the server couldn't find the first time. Unlike the Red Fox - Black Fox which insists that the downloaded files be redownloaded and the system still won't find the files that it couldn't find the first time. The Red Fox in this card will remain forever grey.

Francys Belle card entirely downloaded on the first try.

I don't do Li Moon so no tries there.

As far as the whole sell them back at half price, they won't listen to the members when we say quit it with these exclusive cards, why would they listen to us when we ask for something that would effectively lose them money? Even I think that's too much to ask for and I got a crap ton of cards I don't really want from past promotions similar to this. As far as this deal goes, it isn't random luck but it also isn't a discount like the Josephine event I think was so I am gonna have to think on this one. Sucks that her first card back since her hiatus is locked behind this promotion

Im A collector and would love the exclusive card, however full price for 31 july cards. really needs to be discounted especially as we can get preview discount of 10-20% the following month. Also you arnt actually paying full price for july cards, you may end up paying more as totum have proved yet again today, you maynot always get 7 cards released in a week.
So this offer is 1 of the worst, and ill be holding off for now.

I agree, there should have been a clear and precise stating by the team about the lacking of 3 ordinary weekend cards. Nobody told us anything about that, instead; even after people asked about.

I will disagree with that statement.

1) The downloader is not a part of the GUI (app) and is the same download engine that has been used since 2013.

2) The servers are not part of the app.

3) The folder where the files are downloaded to is not part of the app.

You might need the new version to play the shows, but I strongly disagree there too.

Wow- no discount but an "exclusive" Red Fox card. Luckily I checked my collection and I already have 13 Red Fox cards, so not sure how excited I can get about #14, especially when even more will follow in the next weeks. Pay full price in advance for cards released in July I know I will not purchase when offered individually? My thirteen Red Fox cards will get me through this difficult decision.

So firstly, I don't post - ever, so I must be feeling really strongly about this one.

I see the forum already has the issue pretty much covered but here's my 2 cents
Totem - stop putting random cards out of reach (this red fox one and an olivia sin one from new year) by tagging them in to promotions that have literally ZERO incentive for the customer to buy.

I don't want to buy a full months worth of cards to get one card, it makes that one card too expensive and it really doesn't have that value. We can't even see a preview of the cards we're supposed to purchase up front and there will definitely be unwanted ones but there is no group discount for the sale?
Typically when people enter similar offers it is because the gamble could save them money due to the risk of the unseen and the convenience for the vendor to make larger sales with less processing but the Max incentive offered is a single card that could and should just be available for regular purchase.
Randomly deciding to make one card exclusive honestly just straight up alienates me. I'm a collector. I like to collect everything or at least everything I want.

This is a shameless tactic of yours to try and sell extra cards that you know people wouldn't buy and I for one as a long standing triple diamond member would suggest you consider changing this position as I will be considering mine as a paying customer.

I've just reloaded twice this month but this type of behaviour indicates a pattern of business practices that are ***** so take the matter seriously and offer a resolution or I for one will never buy another credit pack.

Pay attention to your customers, we drive your business and this forum all seems to say stop it.

Also maybe you shouldn't have dropped an unpurchasable card on a Friday, might have got slightly less backlash if people weren't expecting 1-3 new previews.

I made the mistake of buying this offer. I also made the mistake of trying to download the only card to be released this weekend.

I also made the mistake of doing a retry on the download.

925MB X 0.05 =$46.25

$46.25 before taxes. Thats my network charge to download this card.

When the download fails due to server problem, the downloader downloads all of the files again, despite the fact that on my drive there are 925MB of this card in the folder created by the program.

Can someone please tell me why the downloader has to download the card again instead of reading and adding to the files that are already there. I already have the preview downloaded, so why can't the system find it on the servers..

I really don't mind paying the network fees once. But I get really pissed when I have to pay again to download files that are already there.

I am now quite pissy at the situation. So far this summer prebuy offer has cost me $92.50 in network charges plus the 426.25 credits which is about $55.00 in Canadian dollars.

I am ending this rant by saying “Totem, fix your goddamned crap so it works properly!”

I've got to say, I do like these periodic "buy them in advance" promos. I go to work in the mornings, and look forward to getting back to find out which babe's going to come out and dance for me.

Also, I look at iStripper almost as much as a game (or at least entertainment) as something "adult". As such, I like the scratch-cards and special offers. I just wish I could rig the dadgum fansign lottery! 😭
