I was just wondering about the option to declare fellow members as friends. What's the purpose of this? There does not seem to be any functionality in it.

Hab noch keinen Effekt bemerkt.
Weis auch nicht, ob der Hinzugefügte dieses überhaupt merkt.

The "friends" function was originally created to make it easier for users to track blogs one find interesting. Since no one uses the blogs anymore I don't know what Totem has for plans for this.

I was wondering if there was any way we could use this area to put someone's profile that we found interesting into and be able to contact them without having to try surfing the forum for wherever that last post went? It might be used as kind of a behind the scene e-mail, with the person being notified you were interested in them. Then they could contact you in that area without posting for all to see.
It would still be a "friends" area, and might even help out international relationships.

I know Totem is working on an IM function to let members contact each other online. Don't know when this will be ready thou.
