I'm also unhappy. 2.3.0 definitively broke something for me too. I have spent a considerable amount of time trying to fix the situation and on the forum about this matter and nothing work.
I did the upgrade to 2.3.1. Even that didn't work properly ; like some other users here, I had some trouble to install it. The update downloaded and got installed, then the software restarted but after that, I got an IS error box saying that the preinstallation couldn't be ended because I already had another instance of IS running. Well of course, that's precisely the way it has always worked with the updates done from the software ! But this time, I had to totally close IS while keeping the error box opened, then click on the retry button from this box and then relaunch myself the software after that.
But in the in-between, I did a ctrl-alt-del to check this thing about having already a running instance, in case I would have had an extra one. That wasn't the case, but it allowed me to see that I was running a 32 bit version, whereas I already had the 64 one until now. I checked in the settings and it was indeed the 32 that was installed.
So the question is : why 2.3.0 switched me in 32 bit ?
I checked again after the 2.3.1 update but I was still in 32 bit. There was no option in settings to switch from one to the other, contrary to what I thought. So I did what I didn't want to do, I switched on Experimental and installed 2.4.0. But still no success, I was also in 32 bit.
Then, I used a link given by Wyldanimal in an other topic to download 2.4.0 64 bit directly from the site and reinstalled it again, which leaded me to be kicked out from my account and be ***** to ask for an account recovery, with a password you gave me via email that didn't even work. Eventually I got my account back thanks to the step 2 described in said email (so what's the use for step 1 with the fake password ?) and this time, I now have the 64 bit version, but unfortunately that fixed nothing, the forum still doesn't work, the cel folder is still 384 Mo, and I have noticed that VR section as well as my profile don't work correctly neither, it's incredibly slow.
In fact, the only things that work are the starting page, the shop (at least to explore, I haven't tried to buy something yet...) and my collection. The main features you'll tell me, sure but that's very irritating anyway. I never had any serious trouble with the software since I use it and now I can't even do a proper update serenely, suddenly everything has become very complicated since 2.3.0. At this path, I'll soon have to reinstall an old version.

Hello and thank you for your offer. I don't know what a remote session is, if this means a remote control of my computer or a visio, but I can't follow up on both of these as I can't accept an external control in case 1 and as I have no cam nor mic in case 2 ; I'm sorry about this.

A...question...
Even with the last version 2.3.1 build 1005, i can't even participate in the new "evènement", and can't do the daily draw, since clicking the evenement tab (or forum tab), close the apps.
For that, did i need to become a beta tester, and use the beta, or experimental build ?
Also, clicking to do the daily draw on the main age close the apps, and after i restart it, it, again, rebuild my collection...
Still win 10 64 bits...and NOT in compatibility mode (support say i am win 8 comp mode)

I even try to install manually the stable version, and it do nothing, since the apps try to load the beta version, and it close after a few second.
Next try, i try to install manually the experimental version 2.4.0 - Build 1002
after the initial install, it did install another version, 2.3.2 build 1000 beta, and, this time, the apps finally fully load the beta version.
Finally working...in beta...after instally experimental version manually.
I won't change to experimental, since beta finally work.
