I use different Windows Users for different tasks, I installed the models on a NAS. How do I enable iStripper to multiple users? Do I really have to install it for every user? And does that count as "one install"?

@echnaton192 one user allowed 2 installs normally, sometimes 3 if you ask for it. Definitely not allowed to share one account with other users.

Normally, you could install a program on one PC and make it available for all Users that use this PC. So on iStripper, if I install it for my admin account and my normal user account on the same PC I already used up the two allowed installations?

@echnaton192 That is correct.
You agree with the Terms and Conditions when you install the software. The rules clearly state, accounts are for a single user only and you are allowed 2 installations.... for example on a desktop and a laptop. No single user should need more than 2 installations.
If you want to use the software, you need to log on to a computer where you have it installed.
If it is determined that you broke the rules, your access rights can be terminated and the software would stop working.

From the User Manual.......
Can I install on several computers ?
Yes. We grant you a licence for two computers.
Once you have installed iStripper on one computer and created your account, install the software on the second computer and register using the same login and password.

If it happens that you need to install again, make sure you uninstall one licence first (without uninstalling your collection).
If you encounter a message too many installations please contact the customer service.

I am installing it on one Computer. But I use multiple accounts on that PC. One is for administrative purposes. One is for for work stuff. One is for gaming. For security purposes, the main Windows account should not have admin privileges. As such, some malware is stopped because it is not allowed to deeply root itself into windows, except for privilege escalation exploits.

According to the TOS, that should be legal as long as it is the same PC and I am the only one using it. On other software I could chose to install the software for the current account only or for all users on the same PC. But instead of installing itself into c:\programs\istripper it uses c:\users\username to install.

How am I not abiding to the TOS by installing it on one PC, so that all users on that PC are able to use it as long as it is only me using it? It is a mild inconvenience to only have it on one of the windows accounts of the same PC. But escalating this to an assumed breach of the TOS is a bit much in your reply, don’t you think?

But I use multiple accounts on that PC

I do this as well on both a PC and Mac; I am the only user on both computers. Fortunately I only want to use IS on one account per computer and have tried to hide it completely on the profiles that I don't want IS showing up.

Have you tried logging in on the alternate profiles and seeing if it works?

It does not. Because it installs itself into the current user folder and the login information is lost. And wanted to ask here before I use up my installations.

But the responses so far - yours being an exception - have been less… helpful. There might be a way, though. I could give access privileges to iStripper folder to all local users I want to run it from. But I just wanted to ask in advance how to best go about it.

Ah well.

it is NOT a ***** for you as the User, to access the same installation from Multiple User accounts on the same PC.

It IS a ***** for Multiple Persons to Access the same Installation on the Same PC.

This is the reason that when it is installed, it is Installed to a Single User Profile.
It is NOT meant to be shared to Multiple Users of the Same PC.

In your Situation, you can Ask for an extra Install to be allowed on your Account,
or you can use a creative work around as you have described.

But if it is detected that your iStripper account is being shared to Others,
then your Account will be Banned.

Look at it from this Perspective.

If like you ask, the app can be installed for All Users.

Then on a PC where there are 2 or More REAL persons using the same PC
That single iStripper install is Being Shared by more than 1 Real Person.

That is a ***** of the TOS.

To Prevent that, Each install is ONLY installed to the User Profile of the Current User on the PC.
One User per Install.
and Each iStripper Account can Install it Two time.

that can be Twice on the Same PC, or it Can be Once on two different PCs

To request an additional Install.
Make a Post in this thread and present your details of Why you need more than 2.

Two Installs on the Same PC can then Share the Same Models files.
After the 1st install, In Advance Settings
Change the Data Path to that of a location that Both Installs can access.

Then switch User Accounts on the PC
Install the 2nd Installation, and again
go to the advance settings
and change the Data Path to the same shared location.

Same iStripper Account with:
Two Installs on the same PC using two different User accounts, but by the Same Person:
Each install is in to that Users Profile.
The VGHD, the BIN, and the DATA folders are stored in the User Profile.

But The Models Folders are In a common Shared Location.

It has been many years, probably more than a decade, since the data folder was in my user profile.
A long time ago, I learned to change the location of the app. So the data and models folders are always in a location of my choice, while the bin folder is in the vghd folder within the user profile.

I always keep the data and models folders within a folder I call 'SexyGirls', on both the internal drive, and the external drives.

Est-ce que je peux installer la dernière version (bêta) en conservant la 1.2.552 (bluilt 1005) ?

Cela me permettrai de switcher vers la stable si la bêta ne fonctionne pas correctement.

Thanks. That is actually helpful :-)

I understand the reasoning behind the installation path.

And I am completely aware that sharing the installation with others is a *****. But my PC is not to be shared with anyone.

Thanks again.
