I'd love to figure out how to not download the shows for girls I don't like and don't want to see. I'm a subscription member so I get automatic downloads of the daily girl. Since the software upgrade and a terrible debacle getting it loaded, I have to start over, so my entire collection is re-downloading.

How can I clear a girl out of my collection so I don't have to wait for her download just so I can then delete her?

Hi AguyNamedCJ,

Unfortunately (for VGHD Customers) this latest VirtuaGirlHD Product is not like Totem's past VirtuaGirl Products (VG, VG2 & SS2) where VirtuaGirl Customers had CHOICES "On What To DOWNLOAD".

With this latest VirtuaGirlHD Product we are all NOW "*****" to DOWNLOAD "FULL SHOWS" (Non-Nudity, TopLess, Nudity & Explict). In VG, VG2 & SS2 we "all" had CHOICES on "what-to-download" (Non-Nudity, TopLess, Nudity, Explicit or Full Shows).

Therefore, when we VGHD Customers encounter PROBLEMS with our PCs (no matter what-the-PROBLEM-is or where-the-PROBLEM-came-from) the current Totem SoftWare can and/or will "automatically" RE-DOWNLOAD all "previous" FULL SHOWS that have been PURCHASED "in-the-past".

WASTE OF TIME and DISK SPACE!

The above is strictly "my opinion", and "if I'm correct" there "has-got-to-be-a-better-way"!

VGHD Customers "should not have too" MAKE CHANGES to their REGISTRY and/or MAKE CHANGES to their FOLDERS and/or FILES.

I believe what he means is "full shows". If so, there is a way.

Open the program and go to the downloads section. At the top, uncheck the two automatically downloads options. Now you have to close both the program AND the program downloader. You may need to use the task manager for this, but both VGHD.exe and VGHD Downloader must be closed.

Delete the file DLScript.cds that is in the data folder, also delete the models.lst file. When you restart the program it will rebuild the models.lst file.

Now start the program again. It should not be doing any auto downloading. From this point on it should only download a show when you tell it to do so.

Hi BoHica60,

Obviously you are trying to HELP "AguyNamedCJ" to resolve his problem(s). And, I whole heartily agree with all of your comments and instructions to help "AguyNamedCJ".

However, that is exactly "my point" in my previous POSTING. VGHD Customers "should not" have to make "any changes" to their PC Systems, especially to RESOLVE PROBLEMS with Totem's newest VGHD SoftWare Product.

The above especially pertains to VGHD Customers who "are not" Computer Knowledgeable.

We almost never had PROBLEMS with the older VG, VG2 and SS2 Totem VG Products because they were "straight-forward" DOWNLOADS "with CHOICES" on "WHAT to DOWNLOAD" and "WHEN to DOWNLOAD".

Totem chose this "current" VGHD SOFTWARE DESIGN. And, in my opinion, it CAUSES MORE PROBLEMS than IT'S WORTH.

Oh, I wasn't saying you were wrong or anything. I was just trying to help fix his problem. Mainly cause I went through all this crap myself. I agree with you, this should never have been a problem in the first place. But, since it is, I was just trying to share the way to fix it.

Hi BoHica60,

Yes! I throughly agree that you were trying to HELP "AguyNamedCJ", and I sincerely hope it does HELP him. I did not take any of your original comments as "anything personal".

I'm very, very disappointed with Totem on this current VGHD Product, especially when I read numerous amounts of POSTINGS that involve VGHD Customer PRODUCT PROBLEMS, not too mention VGHD Customers making CHANGES to their PC Systems to accommodate this current VGHD SoftWare Product.

Hope you have a nice day.

@vghid,

I agree there are problems with dealing with downloads. VGHD gives you option to turn off automatic downloads but it only works halfway. Turning them on is fine. It's attempting to turn them off that is problematic and may require additional expertise to overcome.

I'm not 100% sure but with older versions of VGHD, if you attempted to turn automatic downloads off with existing downloads currently going on, there was no way to have the program stop them. In other words, it couldn't interrupt the existing downloads without your intervention. You had to do some manual tasks or know exactly what to do with the program that was not obvious.

I believe that as long as you don't have more than one download in the queue, you can stop automatic downloads buy siimply making sure "Background Downloading after program quits" and "Automatically download full shows" are unchecked. Then quit the VGHD program and restart.

A "Stop Download" button is needed with better interruption.

A "Stop Download" button would be a great start!

I bought two booster packs at the same time once. The software did not want to let me do anything else until it downloaded ALL 20 cards first!

Talk about a ***** in the azz!

Hi VirtualPad & BoHica60,

I agree with both of your comments about the VGHD DownLoads.

I will not repeat my past comments about CHOICES & AUTOMATIC DOWNLOADS, but only say: "This current VGHD Product's DOWNLOAD Procedure "Needs and should have a better way", especially if Totem refuses to "completely" RE-DESIGN the VGHD Product" ...
