It doesn't matter why people say they do not want these cards, the only thing that matters from a business point of view is how well they would sell. My guess is that any such cards would have rather less than ten percent of the sales, and therefore of income, of a mainstream card even if they were sold at the same price. This could be countered by raising the price by a factor of ten but that would only reduce the sales even more. Does anyone seriously believe that there is a viable market at something like 100 euro or more per card?

You assumne a Lot, I'd like to see your research,... that says that "less than 10 %" of sales. You also fail to accept that based on Pornhub's own research, some of their most viewed content over the last few years... is transexual in nature. Mostly Transexuals having sex with women. Caitlynn Jenner may have had an influence as it brought to the mainstream the fact that some Transexuals are actually quite stunning to look at. If you disagree, look up Thai T-girls.

@Marven - there was VirtuaGuy, which preceeded DeskBabes, but Totem withdrew from that market, presumably mainly because of lack of profit due to lack of sales. Even the original Deskbabes seem to have not been very profitable leading to abandoning the duo cards and the recent changes to the XXX cards contents.

If the gay "niche" market was too small to support the production of male stripper cards then I see no chance for any smaller niche being attractive enough to Totem for them to cater for it.

Again, you keep calling it a " gay" niche market. It's not. The market for " Virtua guy" is gay men. The market for T-girls,.... mostly is straight men. Imagine XXX rated cards where a T-girl has sex with a female. I can understand that this may Not appeal to you personally...but... why should you have to approve of something that might turn someone else on? This is Like the religious people that ***** on porn they c laim they will never consume, to keep it out of the hands of those perfectly willing to pay to consume it, simply because they say they ***** it. I tell you the same exact thing I tell those people.." if it does not appeal, don't buy it. But what gives you the right to deny those that it might appeal to?"

We are dealing with the fragile male ego here, which really doesn't want to see any dicks swinging unless it's their own.

So true, but they consume Heterosexual porn. And 99 % of Heterosexual Porn is either... a man with multiple women,... with a swinging dick,....or... two or more women together. Isn't this the best of both?? I know. male Ego, and Homophobia. I found quite a few youtubes on this subject... " does Transexual porn make me gay?" and the viewing is VERY educational. Not that any of the guys here will admit to seeing them. Watching that video may make them gay.

As I said, Do some research. I can understand why you may see T-girls as blokes with tits. I can even understand that maybe for you it may not be a turn on. That does not mean you are educated on the issue. You are going with your gut. But.... transexual porn is the fastest growing segment of the porn industry, ..it is not gay men that are consuming it. As to " a real man has no interest" you could not be further from the truth. Again, I understand your thoughts and feelings, but just because you have an opinion, and while ALL opinions are right as they express a personal view independant of right and wrong... they can be formulated in ignorance.

As I have said in the past. I do not understand why some, clearly not you... would be totally against Totem offering a seperate product that no one has to consume if they do not wish to? It seems as if people are just Not wishing for the content to even exist. Kinda like the religious zealots that want to see Playboy Channel off the air, ... when all they have to do is...NOT order it, and they won't be offended by it. They are offended by it's existence. If it is a seperate product, and not cross - promoted on iStrippers so that no one that does not wish to be exposed to it,...is... where is the *****?

I don't think this is an issue of being politically correct, but I'm not interested in such cards.

  • giggles and shakes her head* There is no need to " justify " it. All the current research into Gender, Sexuality, and it's Fluidity is justification enough. People with a background in this field of study have shown that not everything is as Black and White as you would prefer to believe. Here is a thing,... the more one shouts " I am straight ...this does not appeal to me One Little teeny weeny BIT!!!!" the more I wonder. As I said... Straight men consume Transexual Porn, and it is not about " closet gayness." or " desire to be gay " or " desire to be with a gay." or " desire to be with a Transexual." Human Desire is a really complicated issue. It is not as straightforward as " I am He-man.... I am Alpha... swinging dick turns me off." Maybe so... but...

I am more likely to believe the guys that simply say.." this is not something that appeals to me." to the ones going " NO WAYYYY !!!! I do not want this!!!!!" Seriously, whom are they trying to convince ?

Lastly, who is ***** by the existence of the product if it is a seperate product with no link to Istripper? Set up seperate forums... this way, we won't be posting here about it, and offending " real men" lol

I have not read much of this thread but I will say I have less then 0% percent interest. If I find the content enough of a turn off I will go elsewhere. And guys of any sort would be enough of a turn off for me.

I don't care what turns someone on .. to each his own but If IS were to add this content or any other similar 'niche' content it would dilute the product. IS is a collection of beautiful women being sexy. If Totem start adding content that is not sexy or not even female it would be a turn off for me and difficult to ignore. I don't want to see guys pretending to be girls or guys of any sort on the site no more than I want to see girls ***** or whatever. If that becomes IS market I will quickly move on to a product that caters to me.

I take pride in being politically correct and I have no problem with what anyone finds desirable but I want to see sexy girls and anything else on the IS would be a most unwelcome distraction so I would move on.

If Totem thought they could make money with a separate product I guess that would be acceptable but I would like to see Totem committed to IS and presenting sexy women instead of trying to cater to other markets.

This sounds a Lot like. " I do not want it on IS" which is perrfectly fine. But I detect you are also saying " If they wish to make a seperate p[roduct, then while that is fine, as I see it they would not be focusing on what I Like... girls.... so I reserve my right to take my money elsewhere, simply because a product I do not own.. and does not affect me in anyway...exists." Well I for one do not have any issues with T-Girls being displayed here in a XXX duo with another female. And if such offends the “He -mans” here, well just don't look. It's really a simple concept. I stand with the WOMAN who resurected this 5 year old thread even though I may be more of a hindrance than a help to her position on this matter.

Yes that about sums up my position

, simply because a product I do not own.. and does not affect me in anyway...exists." I think I misunderstood you.

this part I'm not sure I understand?

But if you are saying that I would be unhappy if I felt Totem was pandering to anyone that might hand them a $20 instead of enhancing their core product and building it's audience then yes that part is also how I feel.

I'll add that while I have no problem with Totem looking to maximize profits - I guess some part of me likes the idea that Totem shares my enthusiasm for beautiful women.

But as you say you [or I] may misunderstand?

Topics like this come up from time to time and the reality is that niche cards have not historically worked for Totem. Totem has a mainstream product that sells well for them and that is their focus.

VirtuaGuy cost Totem a lot of money and they tried to reinvigorate it a few times with no significant boast in sales, Deskbabes did at one time have quite a few duos, but that has all but ceased except for a rare occasion and iDancer has yet to get off the ground.

So I seriously doubt that it would get off the ground, but if it did, then it would probably run on the same iStripper engine, with just another category of cards that can be selected.

If you feel enthused enough you could try running a poll to gauge a reaction, but I would hazard a guess that the reaction that you have already had would be a reasonably typical result from most members.

Cheers & beers

You are not making sense. This is like me walking into a sandwich shop, and seeing my favorite Roast beef and cheese, and loving it, but...I ***** Bratwurst. Then one day I walk in, and they are selling Bratwurst. Suddenly, ... Just because someone else, might pay them for a bratwurst.... they are...Not focusing, on improving... roast beef and cheese... I think you are just using that as an excuse. Otherwise you would stop buying your favorite brand of beer, the moment they sell "lite" because.... they are not focusing on the beer you like.... or... No longer going to a theater chain, because... they opened up another theater elsewhere... probably catering to a different community and that theater....dilutes the brand ?

This is simply you being offended that anyone can like what does not turn you on, ... and seeking to deny revenue to a business that may someday provide a product you find offensive. And communicating it to them, so they " reconcider the mearest possibility of maybe allowing the thought to even think about crosing their mind."

Look, If that is how you feel, you can use your money as you wish. It's your money,...but don't try to hide behind.." if they want to do this as a seperate product that is fine...but... then they are... weakening their brand...by not focusing on beautiful women. " Call it what it is..." I ***** dick girls, and do not like the idea of being in any way associated with them.... if that product exists....then the people supporting it...will be among the community I am also in.... and... ewww." lol

To be honest,... I agree that even with an anonymous poll, the results would be pre-determined,...but less because men are not interested, and more because they may not admit even to themselves that they may be interested. You sound reasonable, I have no reason to doubt your sincerity. But it is a fact that... some of the most ardent Homophobes turn out to be self-***** closetted homosexuals. Mostly because they want to stamp out something that MIGHT turn them on. Same here. Chances are even guys that MIGHT be intrigued, would likely vote no. See, there is this Mind-set. "That is for homosexual men, and I cannot allow anything to exist that may get me to doubt my alpha male masculine image." Not true. Straight men consume Transexual porn, enjoy it, and remain straight. It is easier to simply try to stamp out it's existence, because then it is not around to intrigue them.

As a side note, chances are if they DID produce such a product it probably would be similar to Disney and Touchstone pictures....different Impramatur, for movies that do not fit their Family friendly image.

@Karinna - I did not in any way suggest that the customers for such a product would be gay, nor did anyone else. I said only that the gay market proved to be too small to support a product, VirtuaGuy, that was tailored specifically for it (despite it also selling to women that liked watching male strippers). Irrespective of any customers sexual orientaion the T-Girl market seems to be significantly smaller than the gay market and therefore any product targeted at it unlikely to do even as well as VirtuaGuy. This of course, assumes that the product is similar to iStripper and VirtuaGuy - there may well be rather different products that would do well in the T-Girl market.

Nor have I expressed any disapproval - simply that I do not believe that it will sell well enough to be a viable product.

Hear hear!

And just for the record, I for one would not be disapproving any venture by Totem to T-Girl direction. It would be a small annoyance that they spend time and effort in creating cards that are not for me, but if a few T-Girl cards here and there make others happy, why the heck not.

I just neutrally, without any agenda, suppose that the market simply would be too narrow for it to be profitable (with reasonable card prices, that is). But yes, this is all pure speculation, let's let Totem comment if they feel the need for it.

Different people like different things and not all for the same reason. I only buy cards I like and I'll continue to do that.

I don't know why I like what I do, but I object to being told that it's because I'm a member of some group. That may be true, but unless you know me, it's stereotyping.

I'm fine when people say what they like or don't like. If they care to try to explain why, I have no problem. I do have a problem when they try to explain me. Yes, I'm male, but I have no idea if I'm a real man and to the best of my knowledge I have no interest in men dressed as women.

HA! I have to Laugh....
The Dick is Natural , the Tits are Fake...
So it's really a Bloke with Tits..

So what's not natural about a Woman have Sex with a Bloke?

Let me ask this...

Would you Kneel down and suck off a Bloke?
Would let a Bloke screw you in the Ass?
Would you let a Bloke Suck you Off?

So why does the Addition of Fake Tits, suddenly make it acceptable for you then?
is it because you are Now rationalizing it as a Chick-with-a-Dick?

It's still a Bloke, only now he's got Fake Tits.

So what makes one any different from the Other?

It would be Like picking up a turd and eating it..
But calling it a tootsie roll instead.

Calling a Stinking Turd a tootsie roll, doesn't make it taste any different.
You're still eating a Turd, just calling it something different.

To me, I can't rationalize it.
A bloke with tits, will never be a Chick with a Dick...

One a Bloke, Always a Bloke.

@Ullubu - it is not a question of whether of not iStripper girls would appear in such scenes, it is mearly a matter of whether or not Totem's customers would buy them well enough for Totem to make a profit. It doesn't matter why people would not buy - there will be many reasons - only that they would not do so in sufficient numbers to make their production worthwhile.

Just putting two and two together here. Based on previous threads suggesting this.
Have we reached fifty of them yet ? Probably have.

Seems the one thing that stands out the most to me is that the members who speak the most or the loudest about the subject are mostly objecting to the potential of having t-girls being mixed in with genetic girls in the same store / GUI / site. Saying it needs to be separated just like VirtuaGuy was. Yes......Of course, it would need to be separate. Why would you think otherwise ???

I clearly recall something being said in one of the previous threads about possibly buying a t-girl card "By Mistake", being offended, getting angry and so on. To me, that sounds as if a person might ***** seeing a feminine looking face they think is cute, buy the card, download it, start watching and..........
"Oh my God ! A dick !
You did this to me ! It's all your fault ! How dare you do that to me !
I'm deleting everything I have and I'll never buy anything else from you !!!"

The subject is so worn out now that I tend to find many of the posts following the Opening Post amusing at times. Even some of my own responses.
