That is fine but I will call a spade a spade. There is a huge push to end ***** practices by companies regarding gambling that today bypass legal requirements that typically are enforced on gambling.

As an example in the US there is no warnings or such regarding nudity other than being 18+. On the flipside there are tons of requirements regarding gambling it just happens right now gamibling for digital goods does not fall under legal requirements (not yet but likely will in the future).

Totem had a scratch game...I believe it was last Thanksgiving...where one would be guaranteed a Joker or SEC card if one played a certain number of games (I think the Joker came in at 100 scratches) That feature would be good for Totem and the membership as well.

See I think this would balance out things with a fixed odds.

I think in order the best case to worst case would be:
Fixed results after so many scratches
Low luck modifier that slowly increases your chance at certain outcomes
Transparent odds

Maybe they are there but right now in theory Totem can choose to completely change odds by the minute in order to have early winners get others to also participate when odds are lower. Not saying this is happening just saying with the current system nothing is stopping them from doing this.

I do think though the previous scratch game I had played was good when first starting as it gave you lots of random cards prior to getting the bonus discounts that I now have access to.

28 scratch cards, 75 net credits spent.. "won" five cards none of which were interesting (all but one 720P).

It is because "we are all here for the girls" that I felt it necessary to point out the similarity of the two forms of exploitation of weaknesses. We are a self selecting group that are almost certainly very biased towards accepting one form. If you looked at a population of users of betting shops, attendees at horse races or those that frequent casinos you would probably encounter the opposite bias.

I, also, don't like the concept of Special Edition Cards, but if Totem decides to get part of their earnings by draining the pockets of customers who like to gamble and try their luck in the promotional games, then so be it.

You must first fully charge the flux compensator on a full moon night when the Sun is in conjunction with Mercury and Venus, and then have all 4000 cards active on screen simultaneously at 4:20PM (PDT) while trying to buy a SEC.

I'm still using my Samsung SyncMaster 2494HM monitor. It's about 10 years old but still working like a charm at 1920x1080 resolution. I have been wanting to upgrade for a long time, but can't justify myself to purchase a 4K screen when there's nothing wrong with this one. Occasionally I connect my PC to my tv (4K 55" LG OLED) via HDMI, though.

Kind of hoping this one dies at last so that buying a new one wouldn't feel like a waste... :)

Also I am not white washing anything - indeed I would have thought that saying that the basic product was exploitative was the opposite of white washing.

I have a 40 inch monitor which I use for TV, Roku, Blu-ray/DVD, and my PC. I used to have to switch over to VGA input for my computer to my sound bar but my new computer has Display Port. With a DP-HDMI cable I know have all my inputs on HDMI and don't have switch outputs on my sound bar.

I went with two LG UltraWide 25UM56-P (TFT) set side by side for 2 x (2560 x 1080)
That's 48 inch by 15 inch of physical deskspace.
I have a few wide screen movies and just like the extra real estate.
Goodthing I forgo the 34 inch version, that would have been too much space.
Cheap and not 2K even, but I use Samung Smartview to transmit videos to livingroom 4K bigscreen.
Plus I have Rift S for really , really wide screen videos.

Yes, I do play the slot and scratch game, but not too much.

Made the switch to Oculus Rift S from the cheap Destek V5 (Daydream type). $399 vs $50.
Need not explain how many ways Desktek was a ***** !
Only problem on Rift S was getting h265 (HEVC) videos to play.
No mention anywhere that HEVC video extension needed (except in obscure forum posts).
Installed via Microsft Store and everythings good now.
Had purchased long time ago but after Win10 clean install you need go back to Store and reload.

On topic, highly recommend Rift S, beautiful video !

Edit: HEVC comes free if iTunes installed or 99cents at MS Store. Comes in other software too, only MS too cheap to put it in Win10.

The card you win is random and you you may not like the preformer.

However, you might discover a hidden gem. Maybe you overlook dancer x since she is not your type. but then you win the card with her, and then see a great performance.

This is especially true of the 720 cards. Many new users overlook them since they are old.

Slot machine has a different set up with discounts, higher potential payouts, etc. You will see it soon enough. (practice swearing now, that way when the slot machine does appear, you will be ready!)
