CashBack & Twenty Five Q&A

@TheEmu

You should also remember that when a compamy, any company, makes a "special offer" the purpose of the offer will, with vanishingly few exceptions, be to benefit the company not its customers.
In the context of Totem, i agree with you. The gambling games and scracthcards are examples that support your statement.

If an offer is too generous, or lasts too long, or is repeated too often then it can easily be detrimental to the company
In the context of Totem, i only partially agree with you. For Cashback, It may be true if this promotion is repeated too many times it might lose that appeal. However, there are promotions that have been repeated far more times during this year and didn’t seem to be detrimental to Totem: Progressive Packs (38% overall discount), Wheel of fortune (37-40% discounts according to my purchases), Free Packs (45%), and the most repeated promotion Slot machine had me collectively saved 45% on cards. These promotions offer far more savings that cashback (20%), but cashback wins over because of the ability to choose the cards.

if it wadn't then it ias arguable that a simple permanent price reduction without the special offer would increase profits. (Some companies have disguised what are really lower than nominal prices as as permanent "special offers" in an attempt to have it both ways).
Except that totem is NOT making profit by selling cards. Their profit already ocurred long before, it happened when you reloaded credits. And when you "buy" a card what you are really doing is redeeming it with your credits, 25, 13.75, 11, 0, it doesn’t matter. There is no price reduction but rather a credit reduction because there is no real money involved in the transaction of getting a card.

@Stanston

Could you please explain, as "second spokesperson for Totem", why if Totem is so responsive to their customers, that we never got a response on the forum to my post above from @kaiju?

It would have been helpful for all of us who share my opinion. Do you honestly believe that I am the only one, ***** about SEC and the games on the forum, and that I would be the last?

Do you think that if the problem had been solved, I would still be talking about it?

Besides, for me this subject is now closed, given my decision to stop investing in Totem and all the reasons mentioned above.

This being said, you don't need to answer me, because you don't know it and to tell the truth I don't want to, because your completely useless interventions and your lack of understanding only put oil on the fire, on threads of discussions, whose subject seems to be of absolutely no interest to you.

I don't intend to answer your future interventions anymore, not more than I did at the moment, because it is becoming an overbidding that leads to nothing. But you ***** me to do so, since your message is incomplete.

It is easy to take just the portion of the messages, which is our business.

By the way I don't care about your "sarcastic" farewell.

Save your "good riddance" for yourself, dear "Sir".

Final point.

@Stanston

Point final.

Rex and Celine are both key members of Totem and their roles extend well beyond customer service.

The fact they look after new members only confirms my point. That’s their business model. Get them in, take their money. Rinse and repeat.

There’s nothing wrong with that of course. It’s business after all.

I guess it’s just usually customary to appreciate other people when they give you their money.

If you knew what you were talking about you would know every service software caters to three groups. New customers, selectors, and collectors. It doesn't matter if we are talking about an MMO, single player game with a cash store, or a porn software that requires daily investment. Totem's goal is to get as many people as possible into the selector category. The gambling games allow new users to get discounts on card that they may want, which eventually gets them into the "investment fallacy", meaning once they hit 500, 1000, or 1500 cards they can't imagine wasting all that by leaving. The selectors are constantly making value decisions but will likely never leave the product and will buy regularly, including in the gambling games because they may be enticed to get a big win. The collectors are a small group that would normally be happy buying every card at an extreme discount...totem wants this group to become selectors again so the gambling games have merit...they therefore introduce the special event cards. This is really smart business and is the reason the company is still solvent despite a pretty hard collapse in available erotica talent over the last 10 years. Keep in mind that most services have exploded in cost since 2010...video games and porn have stayed constant at a base price but must get creative to combat rising production costs.
