When I browse the Shelena "Tight in black" EX card it is mentionned that I can unlock it with a joker card, but when I try there is a message claiming "communication error with servers".

As fas as I can remember EX cards cannot be purchased with joker cards, so the GUI should not suggest it, am I right ?

You can not Unlock the Card using a Joker.

On the beta, lately I see that same "unlock with a joker" on the "details" page of a card that I have bought with credits from the website after it has shown up as purchased in my collection but not downloaded yet. I suppose I should add that both my data and models folders are on a networked ssd.

your Situation is Different.
You Already have Unlocked the card f2088, it is in your Collection..
There is a known bug where sometimes in the Details view it shows that a Joker is needed for a card you have already unlocked.
A quit and restart usually correct this.

But in the Other Members case,
They do not already have card f2088 unlocked, it is Not already in their collection

I was hoping for the member to respond and tell us where they were able to see this
when they don't already have the card unlocked.

It currently is not Shown in the Store, nor is it show on the Models Web page.
So I'm very curious to know where they were able to see this "Unlock with a Joker"

But they have not sent a reply.
