my sound seems to be disabled but cant figure out how to reenable

One, very simple, possibility is that you have accidently clicked on iStripper's "Master Sound" icon which is between "Downloads" and "Music" in the row of icons in the top right corner of the iStripper window. I used to do this quite often. If that is the case just click on it again.
Another possibility is that you have muted iStripper in your Windows sound mixer.

Another possibility is that his client really has sound issues, as many of us actually have - being waiting for a definitive and stable fix (without workarounds) for almost one year...
