Would you mind posting your stats just so we have an idea?

I didn't play this time, because last time my results were awful:

• played 110 times so 1,650 credits spent
• 78 times "won" something, so 32 losing tickets (so 71% chance of getting something)
• got 15 credits back 32 times (29% chance)
• won 35 credits 9 times (8% chance)
• won 9 gift cards (8%)
• got 27 random cards (24.5% chance) ; 12 VirtuaGirl, 1 DeskBabes, 13 Istripper & 1 Istripper X
• got 1 SEC (0.9% chance)

And no joker nor 150 credit win (less than 0.9% chance then)

Net loss: 1,035 credits for 28 random cards, 1 SEC & 9 gift cards. It's even worse than my first calculations.

I think from what you're saying @TheEmu chances are probably higher for gift cards/150 credit when you have a full collection. As for other triple diamond members, seems like the odds are particularly unfavourable.

This week I can play the 25 game, unlike last week whem I was locked out by having a full collection. So far I have found it almost impossible to lose when playing this game. There may be hundreds of thousands of tickets around, and prizes are few. So, there is no surprise and no trickery - at all - if one doesn't win anything even owning 300 tickets or so.
It's not a scam: all lotteries work like so. Period.

It seems like each time you use it, it creates a new "Totem" folder, but you can just delete that when you are done. Also Istripper still appears in add or remove programs, but apart from that it seems like it is completely on the drive, rather than on my hard drive.

Anything much less than that might struggle with 4K clips.It also means that you get priority Customer Service if you should ever need it. Not needed it myself so can't comment on that...Grats! :)

I've used customer support a couple of times and even without the priority it doesn't take long.

In case my position is still being misunderstood. I have absolutely no problem with @Wyldanimal 's posts describing how to modify the behaviour of iStripper by changing registry entries. They are very clear, informative and helpful.

What I disagree with him on are rather *****, almost philosophical, terminological points such as whether or not such edits can unequivocally be called "safe". I take the view that any use of undocumented (at a user level of documentation) features is inherently unsafe with respect to future updates no matter how safe they are in practice with the current version.

I also have a ***** concern that widespread use of such implementation details can constrain future development. I do not think that would be much of a problem in this particular case, but I have seen exactly that happen elsewhere.

For example an important user of a package used knowledge of its internal data structures (obtained by looking at low level #incude files) to bypass the intended API, then because of the importance of the user (or rather the importance of the that user's product to the end users) this resulted in having to freeze the package's internal data structures and introduced significant barriers to improving the package.

I make registry edits when and if necessary.

The two most common edits (as I understand it) are for the location of the models (and there is system functionality to do this now) and the Data folder for which there are no system functionality.

I know the risks and what would be required if things went wrong, that is why I made the modifications to achieve what I needed.

Contained Instructions on Making Registry Edits

These were Official Support FAQ from the Team..

These inclusion is the Help FAQ have since been removed, as most of it, is now part of the Settings.
But there are a few members who want to relocate more then just the Models Repository.

And the Only way to do that, is to make a registry edit.

Back when I was much more active as a Mod, I created a Sticky topic for people giving "advice" on doing registry modifications.

In essence said that it was the responsibility of the person giving the advice to:
1. Make sure the member who was being advised was aware of potential risks if they didn't know what they were doing
2. It was the advising member's responsibility to support the member making the changes and help them correct the situation if something went wrong.
3. I was even know to bring out my club for a few whacks for "advising" members who did not follow these rules.

Back then, we had a few cowboys (and they were always guys back then) who threw out suggested changes, but didn't warn of potential risks and didn't support the member when they got it wrong and left it to Totem Support to resolve the mess, which is why the Team do not advocate making these changes because they don't know how experienced the member is.

Now with WyldAnimal, he has always, then as now, provided warnings and fully supported the member when & after they attempted the registry update.

That is why in all these years even before he became a Mod, I NEVER have had a problem with his posts on registry changes and NEVER even considered challenging him on one

There are a number of elements to iStripper on a Mac. The most important are:

1. The iStripper application file which should be in you Applications folder.

2. The data folder whose default location is an iStripper folder in home folder.

3. The models folder which defaults to the iStripper folder but can be moved anywhere using the Advanced settings of the iStripper application's user interface.

The iStripper application can be placed in either the root applications folder where it will be available to all users of the comptuer or the home folder of a single user so that other users can not see it. I have mine in the root applications folder.

1. Where is your data folder?

2. Is your models folder in the path shown in the iStripper advanced setting data sector?

I don't want to go into preference file issues until I understand your file configuration. If you haven't moved the data folder and don't want to move it, you probably don't need to do anything to the preference file. That filed is named: com.totem.Vghd.plist

I know this thread is intended for more general appreciation, and I certainly echo the sentiments that have been expressed here. But I have a specific thing that happened today which bears mentioning.

Last night, I was looking at my account details and I happened to notice that it showed that I had purchased a card "20 hours ago." I had not knowingly done so. At first, I thought that maybe I had purchased it accidentally, but then I realized I had been long ***** at that time.

Hacked? Not sure why anyone would hack my account to add a card to my collection; how would that benefit them? But just to be safe, I changed my password right away. Then I contacted Totem support.

By early this morning, the purchase had been reversed. The credits were back in my account and the card was removed from my collection after I did a server sync. No questions, no fuss, and no delay. That's good customer service.

i moved everything except the exeutable file that downloads when installed. that file is still on the desktop..i have changed location of files in settings to read: volumes/blah/blah. Yes, Harddrive is only 500G on imac desktop. Passport is 5 TB. Possibly, but not sure what preference file to edit? running 10.15.7 imac late 2012

i did not have the extra white bar that @spacedragon64 ***** from but the calendar did extend below my taskbar (which has the smallest height that windows allows). This does not cause any real problem (I can see and open doors on the bottom row) but does cut off the bottom of the image and it looks a little odd. This is on my laptop's 1600x900 screen. No need to do anything about it this year.

I have noticed another discrepancy.

In this weeks istripper newsletter it states about the Advent Calendar

It contains:
all the shows released in December that you get 1 day in advance,

Except as we all know it does not contain the show released on the 1st December nor the shows released after 25th December

Me? I'm just happy there's a place we can all come together and have fun, make friends and share a mutual interest that's not frowned upon by meddling, puritan outsiders.

This forum has helped me develop my artistic abilities to levels I never thought or knew I had before I joined. Not to mention the amazing ladies that keep us all hooked...

I have NEVER said anything bad about Totem and the Team. I've always gone along with what they do. Some people may see that as ass kissing. For 22 years, Totem have been providing entertainment for us fickle, sometimes ***** masses. I don't listen to most of the complaints.

I'm just thankful that iStripper and this forum exist to give me an outlet for my creativity and a REAL place to share with REAL people.
