Hi all,

Mastercard recently revised its standards and requirement for Adult Content Merchants. The changes are mostly aimed at user submitted content on tube site, but apply to all user submitted content, including images on iStripper's forum.

We're now required to review all user uploaded content prior to publishing to ensure that the content is not illegal and meets Mastercard's new standards regarding user identification, model age verification, non consensual activities and prevention of ***** exploitation.We feel asking users for ID to post images in a forum is disproportionate and we don't have the work ***** to manually review all images uploaded in real time. Delayed approval for each image also makes little sense. We have no other choice but to comply and plan to suspend image posting in the forum by mid August if we don't find another solution.

@Manue I assume that means ALL images including iStripper images from the cards?
Some like me have had a lot of fun making use of those - not much fun otherwise - not much point now the forum for me. Sharing images gave reminders of long forgotten shows/models and theme or different poses. A forum of just words will be totally boring, for me at least.

And if we cannot post images how do we sort problems in the future - easier to show/prove a problem with an image.
Like now - those links to Discord do not work - I've never got it to work.

Discord is NOT part of Totems Business holdings.
so Totem has no requirements to keep records on what happens on Discord.

The Mobile Beta has been using Discord since the Start
So; Many Members are already comfortable using Discord as a communication Platform.

While it will be New to many iStripper Members, so too was this Forum new when you 1st started using it.
Sure, there will be some learning new things, but In the End
It will all smooth out, and I think it offers many features tat members have asked for here.

If you can read my message on Discord you will know of the trouble that I had
I believe that some of us, like me, will need a lot of help to use Discord properly

@peterbanker - I've just messaged you in Discord. See if you can see the message - and I am more than happy to help guide you where I can as I used Discord lot when we were in the mobile beta and I am a Moderator on Discord.

I don't see the problem if the only images that would be included on the forum are from iStripper.

Moreover, it is easy for the moderators to see if the images come from other sites and to remind the rules. From there to delete them, if it is not the case.

If the creations are made from iStripper images, I don't see what the problem is either.

I don't agree at all with having to register on another site, to have access to members' creations, because despite some conversations, and the importance of solving technical problems, the rest doesn't matter to me.

I'm a little tired of having to give my information on different sites, with all the piracy problems, that there are on the net.


Je ne vois pas où est le problème, si les seules images, qui seraient incluse sur le forum , provenaient d'iStripper.

De plus, il est facile pour les modérateurs, de voir si les images viendraient de d'autres sites, et rappeller les règles. De là à les effacer , si ce n'est pas le cas.

Si les créations sont faites à partir des images d'iStripper, je ne vois pas non plus où est le problème.

Je ne suis absolument pas en accord de devoir m'enregistrer sur un autre site, pour avoir accès à des créations des membres, car malgré quelques conversations, et l'importance de régler des problème techniques, le reste m'importe peu.

Je suis un peu tanné de devoir donner mes informations sur différents sites, avec tous les problèmes de piratage, qu'il y a sur le net.

The New MasterCard rules are Pretty Clear.

Any Member who Makes a Post, Must have their Information vetted, ( Proof of who they are ) in Compliance with
18 U.S.C. 2257 rules.
So This means that Totem would need to develop a Database and collect the Personal information , and verify this information, for Every member who makes a Forum Post.
And Every Post MUST be Vetted prior to it being added to the Form, Picture or no Picture, Link or no Link.

As volunteers, this is well beyond the scope of a Volunteer Moderators Duties.
So Totem would need to Hire many more Paid Staff to process the flood of posts made every day.

Why Everyone?
Why not just members who post a link or a Picture?

As it states in the new rules, Anyone with a cell phone can now make a post from anywhere in the world.
So even if you just kept info on the Link and Picture members,
What happens when a member who only posted Txt, decides to post a Picture.

now you have to track that member down, and collect their Information.

So It is Easier to Just do it for every member before any of them are allowed to post.
Totem is a small company in terms of Employees.

So it is not logistically possible without adding more paid Staff.

Anyway, that is how I read the new Mastercard rules and my take on how it affects Totem and this forum.

I would Suggest you Sign up ( it's free )

Sure it will be new, But it has a Lot more to Offer than the Forum we use now.

Learn from my experience.

I had a discord Member for some of my Gaming.
I Joined the iStripper Discord using that same member.
Now, I wish I had created a new Member just for the Adult Groups
So I could keep the Gaming on one Member, and the Adult stuff on a different one.

I feel it is too late to go through the trouble to start over
So you can Learn from my Experience.

If you Already have a discord Membership.
Consider making a new one to use to Join the Adult Groups.

If you Don't already have one, then you are fine.
but if you find you want to Join some other non-Adult Groups.
That would be when you consider making a New Discord Member.

Sounds like this forum will be effectively dead. Will the existing content still be available in archived form? There is some useful information here that I sometimes refer back to. (For instance, I'm reviewing the Linux information right now as I do a re-install.)

So, if I understand correctly, this forum will disappear, with all the information included, or am I wrong?

And why should the information about the members be collected, according to these new rules?

Simply amazing. I can't believe every site that uses Mastercard ever has to go through such a set of hurdles.

Or is it only porn sites? That's more in line with what's been happening to Orange youtube and the like.

This is only coming from Mastercard, right?? So what if Totem removes Mastercard from being accepted for purchasing credits, if its possible. Not all credit cards are accepted everywhere. Such as how Costco only accepts credit card payments by Mastercard, and no other credit card companies.

Well, I'm pretty sure they made their math and it's more worth it to have Mastercard as an option and no forum than a forum used mostly for spam and no Mastercard (i.e possibly less money in the pocket).

I'm not moving to Discord, so I guess that's the end of this community for me. Too bad.

oversight is ultimately the responsibility of the site operators, Mastercard now will be holding banks (and in turn ISOs) responsible to make sure this is the case. I was very reluctant to use Discord, especially as I could not get into it a few weeks back, but now I have and already @Wyldanimal has answered an unrelated question I asked over there.

It's a change - most of us don't really like change, especially when ***** on us, but the real world and our fantasy world have collided and there was only one winner.

Hopefully in time the iStripper Discord will develop as this forum has over the years, with many of the interesting threads many of us know. My favourites the picture themes should be possible. One such thread seems to exist already, but it is quite random in its contents. @Ullubu has been quite active on that thread. So that gives me hope to be able to use pictures from those old shows.

Would be a shame to lose some of the contacts I have made here.

And of course remember why these new rules are needed. Too many women and children getting caught up with evil people, used and *****. This will always happen but perhaps making harder for them to profit from this will help reduce it and save some of the victims.

Ok I think I can reply alone... because it is "free" and does not involve payments with credit cards. But really I do not understand is it the job of Mastercard? Should not be the role of governments to enforce laws?

@Philours I was trying to be positive about the reasons for this, not letting my prejudices blacken my thinking, but I see you are thinking along the lines I had in my head too. That everything we do is now monitored. I hope at least part of it is my original thought. Final thing, now with Discord we are all open to another line of scam attacks, so beware of that.

I pity the guy who has to watch my sad little life! Nobody is watching us - they don't have the time, the resources or the inclination. Orwell was lampooning the growth of organisations like the Stasi in E Germany, which eventually imploded because it ***** off innovation and enterprise. Paranoia is unjustified.

Mastercard is trying to avoid accusations of supporting *****. That is its right, just as you don't get allowed into a kindergarten without constraints. It's not law enforcement, it's business.

If you want to avoid exposing yourself to "watchers", you're on the wrong internet. And leave your phone turned off, as is your right (unlike in 1984).

@pantalone mine too, although we are monitored automatically in most of what we do, but the information is buried with everyone elses, so safety in numbers, hidden away. Only if we commit some ***** crime then all the hindsight brigade appear and claim the warning signs were there.
